• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Does anyone miss it?

My parents are freakin' awesome, and I loved high school. However, I enjoy my life right now and I would never want anything to change. Plus, now I get to drive myself a whole 10 minutes to the airport to see just about any WWII fighter I want, any time I want. :)

There're things I miss and don't miss about it.

Same. Some of my friends, I miss, but a lot of good stuff has happened to me since I graduated, too. I've really found God, I've gotten out on my own and discovered what I wanted to do with my life, and I've picked up a few new interests and things that I enjoy along the road. I also have a better understanding of life generally and maybe of my place in it. Maybe.

So, no, I wouldn't want to go back. It might be nice to go back a little bit further, though, and undo some of the less well thought out things that I did in middle school and early in high school. Hindsight's twenty/twenty, I guess, but yeah. I might have had a substantially higher GPA, plus more positive experiences to look back on with nostalgia :D

Back to the day-prison? Back to the intellectual gulag? Back to the social extrusion plant, the bully/victim farm, the creativity grinder, the mind poisoner, the mass indoctrination center? CF's language filters will not permit me to express the vehemence with which I wish to say "NO".

I don't miss getting beat up my junior, senior years for my faith, so no I'm glad I'm out and a man with a career now. The future is much brighter than high school ever was. And out of my graduating class, I believe I'm the only one who hasn't been to jail, done hard drugs, been an alcoholic, and had a kid out of wedlock. Praise God for that.
