  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Does anyone miss it?

Me? I, like the rest of you, absolutely LOVE my independence. I also love the self worth I feel at my personal achievements and what not. I do however miss the people and the interraction of high school. I was always meeting people and I got to do a lot of fun things without thinkin much of what I HAD to do; more of what I WANTED to do.

I dont think I would really like to go back and do it again or anything.. it was enjoyable. But all in all Im happy with where I am. :D

Honestly, I didn't hate high school... I was one of those tough guys who "ran" the school. However, I wouldn't want to give up my independence and also in high school I was not at all seeking God, I bore the title of Christian, but I lived far removed from it. So, no I wouldn't want to go back.

High school.

Heck no. I wouldn't trade all my current experiences and growth physically mentally and somewhat spiritually for free food and board.

...though I miss how relatively easy high school was academically compared to college.

The only thing I miss are the people, though when I think back we were all somewhat immature. I doubt I could take that any more.

High school. Anybody wish they could be back living at home rent free and still in high school?
Yes and no.

No:

Being back in high school would mean that I had to be lead by everyone and ask permission to do ANYTHING. I was also always grounded and miserable at home. I love being the boss of me now LOL! (other than God, He can be the boss of me ;))

Sure, bills aren't the funnest, but I would MUCH rather have bills to pay and my own freedom than no bills and no freedom.

Yes:

I miss being around and living close to all of my friends. I also miss the vocal music and drama classes and shows we'd put on.

I miss eating lunch in the stairwell (instead of the cafeteria) with my friends. The acoustics were GREAT in there. We'd sing in harmony all lunch hour.

High school? Yes and no but leaning heavily towards no..I don't miss it. What I do miss was the fact that you were a teenager and school was meant for fun (if you were cool) or if you weren't then education. I miss being able to afford to fool around most of the time but then it ends up costing you in the long-run. The things I miss most was stuff like that.

What I don't miss is everything else. Drama, social cliques, the usual nonsense.

The only thing I miss about H.S. are the memories of bible club or being the star track and field athlete of the school. Other then that I don't miss H.S. I enjoy living on my own now because of my independence. I got tired of my mom controlling me so I moved out 6 months ago. I couldn't handle the stress anymore. I am doing okay now.

I am not out of high school yet but I will be in about 2 1/2 months. I know that I am going to miss it. I am going to miss all of my friends and people that I talk with! I am going to miss how close most of us are and the small community feeling we have because of being in a small town. This is the town I was raised in! We have all went through so much together. In one way I am soo excited to get out and be in a huge city ( i will be ) but I am absolutly terrified. I will have to gain lots of independence that is for sure.

Mostly, I will miss my two best best friends. They have been my friends basically since birth and I don't know how we are going to be able to say bye. I am getting tears thinking about it!!
