Does Anyone Know About Chitka?

I don't know when this started popping up or how it came about to begin with but does anyone know about Chitka that would pop up when you go to certain sites?
It appears in the lower right hand of the screen and it looks like an advertisement but I don't believe it is.

Does anyone know about this and if so is it something I am able to stop happening? This is really annoying now.
If someone knows about this can you please explain how to get rid of it.

A Google search shows that they do advertising for companies.

I've never seen one myself but I use adblocker plus.

Chitika is a pay-per-click ad network. They use various types of ads, and apparently pop up ads. Pop up ad blocker would be the best way to go, otherwise it's depends solely on the site owner. Pop up ads tend to pay more, so some site owners use them, despite the fact that they annoy visitors.
