Christianity is not a religion; it's a relationship.

The theme of Christianity is that we can have a relationship with the sovereign yet personal God, by the blood of Christ, and have an eternal fellowhsip and communion with such a God of unimaginable love. I dunno, just rambling again... lol

Whoa; okay.

The theme of the Old Testament is the SOVEREIGNTY of God. We see Him create all. "Is anything too hard for the LORD?" "I have made the heavens and the earth with my outstretched arm."etc. The theme of the New Testament, is that God, such a powerful, mighty, sovereign God, incarnated His Son across time and space, and lived solely to DIE as a MAN, nailed alive to the cross as a criminal. All deserve to be condemned, but the themes combined, shows us that God is just and sovereign, but He LOVES us and wants a relationship. We were chosen to be able to live with Him in heaven through Grace.

Is salvation free? Don't answer too quickly. It's free, for us. A very dear price was paid. And throught this ordinay Man's death, through such sovereign grace to us fallen creatures, we can have an eternal relationship with God.

Christianity is not a religion; it's a relationship. We don't go through spiritual people or priests to get to God. It's a continuous walking with Him throughout our sanctifying lives.

*Breathe in, Breath out* Thanks, I needed that. LOL!! TTYL Jesus loves you!

"To be Godly is to have relationship with God"

Oooops!  Sorrrrrrry  :o

Well. . . . we become like whom we hang-out with.  It's God Who makes us holy.  Therefore, when we hang-out with God, we become like Him.   Godly.  ;)

Perhaps...
God disciplines those that he loves, and his love is eternal.  Therefore the the extent of our short lives we will suffer for his name sake.

yes I understand it, but can't really put it in words. Godliness is simply having a close relationship with God, even though in that relationship, you might screw up at times.

It has nothing to do with speaking KJV English, extremely decent clothing, wearing crosses, stained glass, abstaining from make-up, foods etc.

that's the best i can do :)

I'm not convinced that God disciplines us.  I think that disobeying his commands leads to natural consequences, which is the reason for the commands in the first place.  I don't think that punishment/reward systems even enter into the equation at the level of God.  Heaven is not a reward, and Hell is not a punishment, they are both natural consequences that follow from our decisions.

I believe I have been misunderstood again.

I say discipline because of the things we go through, they are all to better us.  If we endure the storm our faith increases, along with other possible things such as closeness to God.
wow...and where did u pull "disobeying him" out of what I said?
Just wondering...I'll try to be more specific next time even though I think my choice of wording for even this paragraph has already been flawed.

Well I hope you see what I am saying.

Its both, we get punished by are sins, and sometimes God does it Himself. God is slow to anger, but He does act.

A personal relationship with God.

God is living inside each and every believer, I have learned over the years to recognize God's voice. It comes in many different forms in my life.
God has caractor, a since of humor, wisdom, guidance, the ultimate awe inspiring being that everyone is searching for, rolled up in the name of God.
If you ever hear someone say, "oh I just need to find myself, or you just need to find yourself" tell them, thats a lie. Tell them they need to find God.

Sometimes its hard to tell wether it is God talking to me, or something or anything else. The devil presents himself as an angle of light, but whatever he says will go agianst the bible, because he is a master lyer.
It also takes time to know God, someone once told me that we are going to learn forever, and that makes since to me getting to know such an awesome God.

God uses the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truths, and this is a feeling peace that comes over me, as the bible says, "and the peace that surpasses all understanding will rule in your hearts and in your mind".

God is the only one who truely loves me, and its melting my cold heart of stone.
