I thinks it's the outcome of the onset of science in the West that produced this sort of reading. Everyone wants empirical evidence.

Whether it's 'anti-christ' in nature or not, it remains to be seen. I suppose it could be. Or it might be a form of Laodicean mediocrity. Either way, it's a sad case. It's no wonder that the lion's share of those who throw in the towel on Christianity come from the more charismatic, Wesleyan line of church groups.

Faith should saturate every fibre of our being. What we expose that to, and allow it to be exposed to, invariably has an impact.
