Do You Use Your Public Library?

I pay lots of overdue fines too! But I figure that it's a lot less than I would have spent buying books!

I live in a very small rural town. Our library only has a children's section. I would love to live near a good library.

Instead, I keep Amazon in business

I love books. I love reading. And I love my library.

It has a great inter-library loan system and online catalog.

The person or people who came up with the idea of the public library needs a huge pat on the back and a medal.

Mr Homey,I do too. In fact with this last move I've made I did locate my local lib. within the hour.
It looks like a beauty of one and I can hardly wait for a time to get over there.

Yes, I do....there are actually two library systems in my area: a city one and a county one. Both have branches near my house, and I use them all the time! It allows me to read a lot of books and other materials that I wouldn't otherwise have access to. Plus, it sort of eliminates the need for me to pay for internet at home!

I've loved reading since I first learned how, so I use the library a lot. My town has a huge library--heaven for book lovers like me.

I used to go alot but not anymore.... I buy a lot of my books now. My library is great though, really nice, except for that it's an hour walk away, or more, I never tried, or it takes about 8 minutes to drive there..... Yes, I know I am lazy.

I love my local library, and know that the catalogue is available on-line, I can browse and hold without having to go down and collect it when I can! We are allowed to borrow up to 20 books at a time for up to 4 weeks, so its really great.

I love this. We have to go to the library to check out the books, but we can continue to update the extension via phone or computer. We are allowed to keep the books for about 2 weeks depending on the book itself.

I work in a college library, not much fiction but books nevertheless! And I love my public library! I must have spent a significant part of my life hanging around the library, once even being ejected with my brother for sliding on the lovely shiny floor! But it's the books that are the real attraction!

I've had a library card since I was 15 years old, but I've only gone up there maybe three times since I got it. I usually buy books on ebay, which reminds me, I have about 40 new books I need to start reading. Haha.

I work in a library, well in a number of libraries as a casual library assistant so yeah I use the library for myself almost every time I'm at work, I get chance to browse the shelves and see what's available at other libraries around the city through the computer system.
