God does not send us to hell, we send ourselves when we refuse to follow the Lord. Our sins send us to hell if we do not repent. And for those of us who do follow God's word, every word not just the ones we like and agree with, we are okay with this because we know that God does not send us to hell and that we can repent and follow Jesus Christ and we will have everlasting life. I feel as though some people have to make excuses about their behavor and that it is okay to do what they want because it isn't "godly" to send people to hell, well if you get right with Jesus Christ then you won't have to worry about going to hell.
And who are you to judge what is godly or ungodly about God? He is everything Holy and we are not to judge him, He is to judge us!!
Hi, it is God that sends people to hell. It is because that during their life, though the Holy Spirit always calls to them till their death they haven't come to Christ.
We all sin, and we Christians don't all do everything in the bible which is taught. We struggle in many areas, especially inside our hearts. The outside is easier to turn away from, then to give God in to our hearts in all places. He will help us all our lives, but we have to let Him in, and as you can tell by the bible, God did not deal with each persons many issues, but would speak about one (in re to individuals, not nations.)
For example abraham lied a few times, but God never spoke to Him of it, he spoke to him of other things.
So we will die with forgiven sin in us as we are so filled with it, but God will work on whatever is needed, as we turn things over to him, as well as by the bible renewing our minds.
Here's examples of sin which people don't think of. Being given to overeating, gluttony. Many heavy people at church, I'm heavy, sin. Speeding while driving.. sin (obey all authorities) worrying..sin.
there is much sin in us.
And christians are all in differnt places in their walk with God. some are not yet convicted by the Spirit or maybe they are and continue in their sin. Some think wrong things are right and are taught so..but it is the Holy Spirit who will change them.
No amount of judgementalness will change them.
Only love reaches people, so we preach Christ and not works, yet to the mature we preach works also, but works is a natural result of being saved.
Someone may only pray their whole lives, never go to church, never baptised, never communion. They are awesome children of God. There are many and that is what they do. They may be homebound, or many reasons. God says the least will be the greatest. He's talking about those we think the least of, not who He thinks the least of.
We will be awed to know the man that never spoke to us will be one of the greatest for all his works were done in private only known by those lives he touched and by God.
Also there will be those who are decieved or will be decieved that will go to hell because they never heard the truth from the pastor or church they are in and the church is dead so the dead can only preach death not Christ, no love, no Spirit, no power.
When someone comes to Christ they might say, I repent and come to Christ, but the repentance actually occurs after they have been saved, as God's Holy Spirit indwells them and helps them. Some people change greatly at first, some slowly, we're all differnt and at different walks. We all fail, and stumble yet we don't fall.
We need to love those who do not believe like we do. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.
He loves everyone that was ever created.
blessings,
tapero
