God does not send us to hell, we send ourselves when we refuse to follow the Lord. Our sins send us to hell if we do not repent. And for those of us who do follow God's word, every word not just the ones we like and agree with, we are okay with this because we know that God does not send us to hell and that we can repent and follow Jesus Christ and we will have everlasting life. I feel as though some people have to make excuses about their behavor and that it is okay to do what they want because it isn't "godly" to send people to hell, well if you get right with Jesus Christ then you won't have to worry about going to hell.

And who are you to judge what is godly or ungodly about God? He is everything Holy and we are not to judge him, He is to judge us!!

Hi, it is God that sends people to hell. It is because that during their life, though the Holy Spirit always calls to them till their death they haven't come to Christ.

We all sin, and we Christians don't all do everything in the bible which is taught. We struggle in many areas, especially inside our hearts. The outside is easier to turn away from, then to give God in to our hearts in all places. He will help us all our lives, but we have to let Him in, and as you can tell by the bible, God did not deal with each persons many issues, but would speak about one (in re to individuals, not nations.)

For example abraham lied a few times, but God never spoke to Him of it, he spoke to him of other things.

So we will die with forgiven sin in us as we are so filled with it, but God will work on whatever is needed, as we turn things over to him, as well as by the bible renewing our minds.

Here's examples of sin which people don't think of. Being given to overeating, gluttony. Many heavy people at church, I'm heavy, sin. Speeding while driving.. sin (obey all authorities) worrying..sin.

there is much sin in us.

And christians are all in differnt places in their walk with God. some are not yet convicted by the Spirit or maybe they are and continue in their sin. Some think wrong things are right and are taught so..but it is the Holy Spirit who will change them.

No amount of judgementalness will change them.

Only love reaches people, so we preach Christ and not works, yet to the mature we preach works also, but works is a natural result of being saved.

Someone may only pray their whole lives, never go to church, never baptised, never communion. They are awesome children of God. There are many and that is what they do. They may be homebound, or many reasons. God says the least will be the greatest. He's talking about those we think the least of, not who He thinks the least of.

We will be awed to know the man that never spoke to us will be one of the greatest for all his works were done in private only known by those lives he touched and by God.

Also there will be those who are decieved or will be decieved that will go to hell because they never heard the truth from the pastor or church they are in and the church is dead so the dead can only preach death not Christ, no love, no Spirit, no power.

When someone comes to Christ they might say, I repent and come to Christ, but the repentance actually occurs after they have been saved, as God's Holy Spirit indwells them and helps them. Some people change greatly at first, some slowly, we're all differnt and at different walks. We all fail, and stumble yet we don't fall.

We need to love those who do not believe like we do. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.
He loves everyone that was ever created.

blessings,
tapero

i'm against the belief that there is one eternal place and we dnt get a chance to repent. face it... its "believe in Me or go to hell forever" in christian circles.. yet God is all loving... it sounds like doublethink.......... Jesus said by their fruit you will know them... and i agree w what gandhi said!mayb you guys cant see it.. bt when you bear the brunt of "MORMONISMS A CULT YOU WORSHIP JOSEPH SMITH YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO HELL FOR BELIEVING IN A FALSE JESUS"... by their fruits you will know them.
it hurts my feelings and instead of learning why christianit is right.. i feel like im being told why mormonism is wrong.. or jst being insulted sometimes.

Hugs, please forgive us, as we are all sinners and as you can tell we are all not alike. Try to bring the hurt right to God, and if you can, try to forgive the person who says hurtful and judgemental things, and if they said something that's a lie, tell yourself they just spoke a lie.

God comfort you friend,

So if you follow God's word then how did you miss that there is a hell and that sins and not being re-born will get you there. God said it and it stands. If God was going to create everyone without free will and to obey him because they are programmed that way, then why would there even be an earth, we would already be in Heaven.

hugs, it's love that reaches people sister, it's love, the love of Christ.

i follow every commandment God gives me. i have faith in Jesus Christ... i read the Bible.. pray... go to church.. i confess Jesus is the Christ and God raised him frm the dead.. i repent of all my sins.. yet i still get threats abt going to hell.

im nothing to judge God. yet that does not sound like something God would do. God loves the world and knows us all. why send us to hell because of our own free will if He knew we would go to hell in th first place????

Hi friend,

In regards to your last paragraph, it helps some if you take the whole bible in context starting with the old testament, of which I am not real good in,same with new, but basically, adam and eve sinned. this caused sin to come to all man. He didn't plan for creation to fall, He didnt' predestine for us to fall, but he gave us complete free will. We fell, we all alike sin and always will, yet as we grow in Christ and turn things over to Him and let Him in dark closets that we hang on to in our hearts (more sin) He heals us, and we're already forgiven once we've believed in him. We're forgiven past present and future sins when we believe in Christ.

So he had no intent that creation would sin, he made us good, but we sinned, then was given the curse in genesis with a redemptive plan. then in the ot it speaks of sacrifices for sins, blood atonements, though they didn't take away sin, or forgive sin, it was required of His people then, the Hebrews or Israelites.

In the nt and could be bits in the old, don't recall but in the nt (re hell), we see that those who believe in Christ will be iwth him for all eternity. And those who didn't will go to hell for all eternity. I don't understand it all, feel very sad to know that people will be in hell, but it's what's written in the bible.

Some will be decieved, and never come to Christ, some will just never believe in Christ though they are called all their lives. I myself do not know why I heard the call and believed, but I did and i am so thankful to God, because it's a miracle.

So though I don't fully understand about people going to hell, and though it's hard for me to accept that my mom might go there as she is a staunch agnostic at 80 years old, i do know this.

God is good, never does evil, didn't create evil, is fair and just and pure and righteous and Holy and much more. These things are truths about God.

So I hang on to the truths that I know about God, and I pray for others to come to know Him.

When we are in heaven it says there will be no more tears. Its not written, but I think all our pets will be there too, for God withholds no good thing from his children, and we dearly loved our pets. It's written that former things will pass away, so if someone I love is in hell, i don't think I'll be aware of that due to that scripture but I don't know.

I don't know much about heaven, not much is written, but we will be with God forever and will learn of Him forever.

God bless,
tapero

Do you have any biblical support for this belief? And the reason why God are warning you about hell is because the mormon Jesus isn't the same as the biblical Christian;Triune.

 I agree!! Sometimes I get so fired up about the Lord that my mouth overrides my brain.

Bloodfire, I hope you know that we love you and are praying for you and for Jesus to reveal himself to you so that you will understand us Christians.

If we were all perfect, there would be no need for Heaven or Hell or any of that. But since Adam sinned, we all sin and God is our father and he has given us the rules to obey and if we disobey then we will be punished, but if we go to him and repent, he will forgive us and forget our sins against him.

God Bless you Bloodfire!!

Bloodfire, I would say that if you encounter someone that tries to scare you into Christianity is to simply ask them if they can give some positive messages from the bible and they may turn them around to seeing that scarring someone is not the right approach.

Bloodfire,

I'd like your opionion on this. If I were to say something like, "But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed." And then let's say that I was so emphatic a Christian that I then had the nerve to say the same thing yet again, would I be using an unloving scare tactic?

It's no more a "threat" than telling someone they should get off the train tracks or they'll be killed by a train. In fact, most would argue that if you saw a train barreling down on someone, you are morally obligated to warn them and try to get them off the track.
Bingo! On target! Give that man a kewpie doll!

Well Bloodfire, I think you should try to go into a christian church. At least once, and see just how much they threten about hell. They acually for the most part teach Jesus' good loving life, what sins are bad, and how you should live. Hell, well lets just say you don't want to go there. Christians are not threatening people and making them repent, they are giving a warning, it is all up to you to change. Almost like saying don't steal that, you will go to jail. If the person still steals the item, where does he go? I think you should visit a christian chruch if you have not before. I think you would enjoy yourself. Up to you.
