Do you think that all the HATE against Trump is fair?

I believe that if someone shows such bad character in these things, as well as bad character in the management of their business affairs, than they should not be in such a powerful position in the US or in the world.

Yes, but that's whom the electoral college voted for, even though he lost the popular vote. People were duped by very slick Russian propaganda, probably with the knowledge and approval of Donald Trump, his immediate family, his campaign manager, his Director of National Security, and others.

I have wondered about the term “True Christians”. When I was growing up in the 80s, “True Christians" would never vote for a person that was divorced several times and makes his money from gambling and the other sinful activities that occur in casinos.
Neither would they vote for someone who got their kicks from ogling naked teenage girls and young women. Because he owned the pageant doesn't give him that right. He should have been arrested for voyeurism.

Bad men come in all shapes and sizes, always coming prepared to appeal with a silvertongue.

So principles are irrelevant??

Principles matter, but what you're all talking about are not principles.

Sexism is derogatory to half the population. Racism denigrates people because of their skin color. If religion is irrelevant, why is there a "Muslim ban"? (the President's own words).

Sexism, racism, and religion are arbitrary criteria.

There are laws at the highest level against discrimination based on race, creed, gender, etc. So charges about discrimination, including hate crimes, are extremely important. Do you remember Trump mocking a man with a disability by acting like someone with palsy?

Thank you for pointing out exactly what I'm talking about: "Trump mocks someone with palsy, so let's burn him over that, instead of as opposed to his positions or his actions as president."

But then again, if we actually did that then your candidate would just as badly be burnt too, so you have to resort to attacks over personality.

(Fact: the only remotely-principled candidate in 2016 was the former CEO of an antivirus company sharing his name.)

Neither Trump nor Clinton were my candidate.

1) You said: Sexism, racism, and religion are arbitrary criteria? There are laws against discrimination and/or harmful actions towards anyone because of their gender, race, or religion. If you're not familiar with those laws, I suggest that you pay closer attention.

2) You said: Thank you for pointing out exactly what I'm talking about: "Trump mocks someone with palsy, so let's burn him over that, instead of as opposed to his positions or his actions as president." That was one of his actions as a presidential candidate, along with insulting women, encouraging violence, and endangering members of the press. He hasn't changed as a person since he became President.

He has done a lot of other things in addition to these that are beneath the dignity of the office, in addition to lowering the esteem of the United States throughout the world. For example he made the United States one of 3 countries in the entire world that would not be a party to the climate accord, and now has abandoned many of the Syrian people to certain horrible deaths by letting Russia and Assad have control of the country.

He has not gotten a single piece of meaningful legislation through a Republican-controlled Congress (both houses), including the horrendous "repeal and replace Obama care" debacle. He can only get things done through executive order, including gutting regulatory agencies so that the people are secondary to mega-business interests.

If you haven't seen what has been going on you need to pay closer attention.

Laws are not an objective analysis.

Words are not actions.

Those are two of his finer points. We have absolutely no business to be in Syra, and the Paris climate agreement was nothing more than willful posturing on part of a group of misanthropic environmentalists.

He has not gotten a single piece of meaningful legislation through a Republican-controlled Congress (both houses), including the horrendous "repeal and replace Obama care" debacle. He can only get things done through executive order, including gutting regulatory agencies so that the people are secondary to mega-business interests.

Another good thing he's done is gutting regulatory agencies. The problem is he hasn't gutted the worst of them.

If you haven't seen what has been going on you need to pay closer attention.

Maybe you should learn to ask questions before believing you know all the answers.

Everything that you have said is totally wrong. The facts speak for themselves. It won't be long before he and his family will be convicted of crimes, which is why he is researching how he can pardon them and himself.

The facts do speak for themselves, and I'd be happy to see Trump convicted if not impeached - but not for some useless victimless B.S. Like I said, you need to learn to ask questions rather than believing you know all of the answers.

And you should do the same.

I ask the questions all the time; you, however, started throwing accusations at me from the left field. (Not to be confused with the alignment.)

Where did you get that phrase anyway??

It's my own phrase. You can quote me on that.

Here are a couple of better phrases than yours... "Four legs good, two legs bad" and "You have not converted a man because you have silenced him".

Look at your responses to me compared to Hank77's responses to me. You threw out accusations the moment you quoted me, despite how it should've been obvious I was making a general analysis.

I'm glad you find them superior. Maybe you ought think about them and do some introspection for yourself, for once.

I'm really not interested in your judgment of me as I don't consider it valid. You think you're making a general analysis, but you're clearly not. I could say the same thing about my posts which you would of course refute or disregard. You think you're right and I don't.

Watch the personal insults. The forum has rules you know.

I have no need to judge you, and your idea of personal insults is laughable at best.

There have been a heck of a lot bigger upheavals during the last 2000 years than a bunch of Americans grousing about their president.

I'm not remotely a leftist, but I don't like Trump. I think he's an ignorant, misogynistic, xenophobic, easily manipulated, narcissistic conman, and probably a criminal many times over. Doesn't mean I hate him, though -- it just means I think he's a badly damaged human being and a terrible president.

Truly excellent post!!

Sexism is an irrelevant charge. Racism is an irrelevant charge.
Sexism and racism -- especially open sexism and racism -- are not irrelevant charges when judging someone's fitness to decide policy. Neither are they irrelevant in judging someone's who is the head of state and the official representative and public face of the nation.

They pretty well are, since they're arbitrary criteria in the first place while being universally used to silence anyone in practice.
