  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, I believe it is there. If you go anyplace that the Bible talks about, you will find evidence there that the Bible is true. One example is that the foundation for the tower of Babel is still there. Many people including Saddan has tried to rebuild Ancient Babylon, and no one has been able to rebuild it.

Another example is Moses burning bush. There is a monastery there that claims they have the same bush Moses saw and that it is still growing. It's a tubular type of bush that keeps sending shoots out and you could not get rid of it if you wanted to. No more than they can get rid of the ivy at the ivy league collages here in the USA.

The correct location of mt ararat is in doubt with out th other attendent .problems. there is a 5500 m mountain in eastern part of turkey called agri dagi which has been called ararat by fundemetalists For along time mt nisir.agri dagi is coverered in basalt so any evidence should have dis appeared
another popular ark site is at akyayla a thriving tourist industry but no evidence :the structure thought to be the ark is a naturelly occuring feature called an allochthanonous block No evidence any where

It depends, wood, like most everything else has a lot of water in it. When it is frozen it can last quite a while.

The wood we use every since the end of WW2 is kilm dried. It is quite a bit different from wood that has been allowed to dry out over a 3 year period of time. Some of the wood in the older houses, if it has enough sap in it, can get so hard that you can not even drive a nail into it anymore.

People have wood that they claim is millions of years. http://www.nicholasdattner.com/wood/ancient/

Yes John ,

That would be petrified wood.

Rescearches calim to have a few pieces of it fro the Ark or so.
And Turkish Armenians have a cross that is allegedly made from the Ark's wood.

My rescearch is from:

In Scearch of Noah's Ark 1975

A Documentry avalible on VHS (and possibly DVD)

Its worth checking out.

Interesting, that they think the found the location where they crossed the red sea.

In all of the Gulf of Aqaba, this would have been the only probable location that they might have crossed for there is a natural (supernatural) land bridge between the Sinai and Arabian peninsulas, under the water. As well, there are very interesting, and strange coral formations found there that are not found anywhere else in the Gulf of Aqaba that may be the remnants of Pharaohs chariots. As one diver observed, it looked like a junkyard with debris strewn throughout the sandy bottom. It should be noted that coral needs something that it can form on and will not stick to sand. This might suggest that at one time or another there has been something deposited on the sandy bottom for the coral to start forming there.
