Do you think Jesus will return in 2033?

Even if He did, let's face it, they'll all be too busy watching TikToks, YT Shorts and IG Reels with their iPhone contact lenses on, to notice anything other than influencers reacting to other influencers doing the blackout challenge.

Case in point, the world doesn't deserve Him now. The majority have lost touch, and see the faith as nothing more than a nostalgic nod to a time in the distant past. It's pure indifference now, they don't even hate Him. At least when they hated Him, they acknowledged Him.

The respect I have for Jesus is so great, I wouldn't want Him to lower Himself to that level by coming back here.

There are people thinking that Jesus will return 2000 years after he died.

2023 I personally don't think so. The majority of the prophecies are being fulfilled simultaneously, except for the days of Noah and the revealing of the Anti-christ. I believe we must see all the prophecies being fulfilled simultaneously before his return.
And if understanding is correct the beast and the antichrist supposedly has at least a three and a half year reign of the seven, over the people of the Earth. So if they were to be revealed in 2022 it still wouldn't be until somewhere in 2025.
As for it being 6000 years since the fall of Adam according to the Roman calendar - many do expect him back within 6000 yrs. If that is the case, it could be anywhere between 2001-2099.
He said we wouldn't know the date or the hour - meaning we can't say January the 27th 1949 at 2:20 am but he tells us to pay attention to the signs and we'll know that his coming is near even at the door. And it is near and if not at the door, it's almost.

He might. He might not. Date setting is rubbish.

Absolutely. Everyone who has guessed a specific year and published it thus far has caused a Great Disappointment.

There are people thinking that Jesus will return 2000 years after he died.

People have thought he was going to return ever since he ascended.

God already knows the time and Jesus will return when the time is right, not because it would be nice for our, man made, calendar.

Christ our Lord and God tells us that He comes as a thief in the night, when we do not expect, at a day and hour no one can know.

Anyone who claims to know more than the angels is mistaken.

Indeed. I mean Miller thought our Lord would return in 1844 and built a whole movement around that.

The apostles, yea, the early church really believed that they would see it in their day, and that was 2,000 years ago. The events that transpired in the first couple centuries would make anyone think that Jesus would return during that time, but we see that every generation afterward began to interpret their own times as the end of the last days. For all we know, it could be another thousand.

It's one of my weird beliefs that God intends to drive us out into the universe. I think we'll learn to teleport based on quantum entanglement down the track.

I think my opinion makes just as much sense as the Gog-Magog nonsense with the Russians
sweeping down carrying all before them. They haven't even been able to hold off the Ukrainians.

If I'm correct, then Christ's return will be quite some time off, probably centuries. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the Rapture as it won't happen, and if I'm still around in 2033, I won't be far off meeting my maker anyway, one way or another. I'll meet Christ then, pre or post Second Coming!

Trying to pin dates on Christ's return is a complete waste of time viz. Matthew 24:36 NIV “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor (not even) the Son, but only the Father."

In his deadly serious poker game with the devil, God the Father is playing that hand very close to His chest. He doesn't want the "strrong man" to know when the thief is going to break in.

I suppose someone will guess it sooner or later, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
