It's not speculation, there is plenty of scripture that supports this position. Any that people post, you just ignore.

Do your own research because you are the one confused about the question.

The only Scripture quoted in response to me that even attempts to answer what I've asked has been a passage in Matthew concerning the future judgment of the devils.

I didn't ignore, I asked if that passage was relevant.

I'm seeing a lot of assertions, but that's it.

So you advocate abridging the Lord's Prayer to "Thy will be done"? If the rest of the prayer weren't valid, why would Jesus tell us to pray this way?

The rest of the prayer isn't invalid, but praying for Satan's salvation is. You're forming an argument based on something that's completely doctrinally false. Actually, you can abridge the Lord's Prayer to "thy will be done". That's essentially all we need to ask for, but praying for other things is for our benefit. See, prayer is for OUR benefit, it's not something God needs to hear.

So Jesus taught us (Matt 6:13) to pray that we be delivered from the evil one, but somehow it is blasphemy to pray that the evil one be made not evil...or at least destroyed? That makes no sense at all.

Somehow? It's blasphemy because he IS the evil one. Why are you praying for a fallen angel that wished to topple God and eternally only pursues that wish? You're completely wasting your time and distorting the meaning of prayer. It's not for you to practice your piety in front of God - who's already got a plan for Satan.

Yes, I think it is wrong to not pray for Satan's redemption. I think God wants to hear these prayers. I think that if we take Jesus' message to heart, we will pray for Satan.

If Satan is so easily redeemable and this will come about because of your prayers, what do you call Jesus' sacrifice then? What's the point of Jesus' salvation at all? You have to look at what you're saying and the ridiculousness of it.

That was not an assertion, the scripture you mentioned explained it. It speaks of the destiny of those devils in question, which in turn reveals their eternal motivations. If there was a chance they could turn around and say sorry from the position they are in now, don't you think God would have been a little less specific about their eventual destination?

You need to look at this question a different way...what evidence is there that the fallen angels WILL repent, rather than looking for evidence that they won't. There's no picture in the Bible that I can see of a change in the behavioural structure of Satan's kingdom. Satan and his devils are described as a "roaring lion" roaming around looking for people to destroy. Where in the Bible does it say that some of them take a chill pill and start working for God?

How about:

2 Peter 2
4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;

or

Jude 1:6
And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day;

Let's face it. Angels rebelled against God right in front of His face. They made an eternal shift in their eternal spirit, right before God. They didn't have our excuses, or our earthly lives which can be redeemed through the blood of Jesus. They saw God face to face and went against Him.

Luke 12:48
But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

If you still don't think that's evidence, then I'm sorry but I can't help you. But i'd like you to show me some evidence that the Bible says fallen angels can turn around and go back to Heaven.
