  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

That was Barbara Hale.

Thanks. I appreciate the "group memory" here. If one doesn't remember someone else usually does.

William Katt is Barbara Hale's son as well as the son of Bill Williams. He played Paul Drake in the episode I mentioned. But the first Paul Drake was William Hopper who [correct me if I am wrong]..was the son of Hedda Hopper. Now I am dating myself. LOL :D

Blessings to all this morning.

Oh yeah, Perry Mason. Are there any shows on anymore that they are not talking and laughing about sex? or that don't feel like they have to show all the gory details. I think that is what I miss most, Hollywood has forgotten we are intelligent people and have imaginations, I don't need it spelled out for me. Yes, I remember when.:sigh:

Yes, I know what you mean. Sometimes you have to search and search to find something which isn't about sex, abuse, or isn't graphically violent.

Speaking of t.v....I remember when it was a big deal to watch I Love Lucy and later The Garry Moore Show and my favorite which was The Mary Tyler Moore Show. For years we didn't have a T.V. yet so I would go over and watch programs with my friends or the neighbors. They never missed I Love Lucy.

Yes - We don't have TV stations connected in our house at all. Every now and then when watching at a relatives house I reaffirm our decision. The language is horrendous.

Whewn I was younger I liked all the programs that had animals. Lassie, Rin Tin Tin, Fury, etc.., Also enjoyed the comedy & variety programs: Ed Sullivan, Red Skelton, Milton Berle, Jack Benny.

I so agree with you both! I have TV and it remains on the Home and Garden Channel which I really enjoy! I too enjoyed the dog stories and Fury! Such great family fare. Even the westerns then were tame and acceptable for families. I loved Cheyene and a few others I dont recall at this moment.(LOL)

How about "Lone Ranger" that one was pretty good. I also liked "Roy Rogers". He was from my home town and they had a big event every year in his honor. He showed up many times to the joy of everyone. They named a part of the down town after him.

I am thinking you mean where he grew up. and I don't know for sure where that was. Unless you mean Apple Valley, CA. where he lived until he died. We visited his museum in Victorville, CA. near Apple Valley several years ago while on vacation. But later his son moved the Roy Rogers-Dale Evans museum to Branson, Missouri.

Although not entirely correct his (Roy Rogers - Leonnard Slye) home growing up was Duck Run Rd near Portsmouth, Ohio. They lay claim on him as well there. The house is still there and has been remodeled and is or last time I saw it was in Pristine condition. There was, and probably still is, a museum in the town of Portsmouth as well.

I don't know where Silver, Trigger, Clayton Moore or Jay Siverheels grew up :D

Who was that masked man ??

One of the older westerns was Wagon Train, wonderful with Ward Bond and Robert Horton.
Bonanza was also just great! I remember Hoss said about all the increasing violence on TV, "if anyone else talks to me about the violence on TV I'm gonna kill 'em! LOL
