I vaguely remember Wagon Train and I better remember Bonanza. I think they used to be on television on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon here in England.

Actually, Clint was in Rawhide as Rowdy Yates. Why am I so sure? I had a mega-crush on him.

Ward Bond was in wagon train. Both really great westerns.

I remember it for 2 reasons
1. I am older than dirt
2. My dad was a big western fan.

Although not entirely correct his (Roy Rogers - Leonnard Slye) home growing up was Duck Run Rd near Portsmouth, Ohio. They lay claim on him as well there. The house is still there and has been remodeled and is or last time I saw it was in Pristine condition. There was, and probably still is, a museum in the town of Portsmouth as well.

I don't know where Silver, Trigger, Clayton Moore or Jay Siverheels grew up

Who was that masked man ??

I think I read somewhere that Roy and Dale were buried in Ohio. Not sure??

Larry, re: "Who was that masked man??"...as you mention above;Clayton Moore played the Lone Ranger and Jay Silverheels was Tonto. I don't think the 'masked man' had a regular name on the T.V. series anyway unless Cimosabee, masked man, or Lone Ranger. If anyone is interested;the old series is available. Well, go back a little further now. Do you remember that Clint Walker starred in Cheyene? Remember in real life when he was impaled on a ski pole? I was so horrified that such would happen to him! He was so fine
I loved watching that show as I had 3 under 3 at the time and the show was a great escape! LOL
p.s. Clint Walker recovered nicely, thankfully!

Clint was good in theNight of the Grizzley as well. He sure had the muscles.

I remember being 10 years old and going to my first Rodeo. I was so happy to be wearing red cowgirl boots with my jeans. I just knew Dale Evans would be envious of my boots. LOL
