I remember going to a place called the Stop and Go where they had the best curley fries and root beer.
Does anyone remember when Barbie's first came into use?

We had little money to go to the eat out places...never did go as a family that I can remember...my mother was a terrific cook...I still miss her cooking.
pilgrimgal said:I love to cook and my sis and mom were both great cooks. I still like eating 'in' better than 'eating out'...well most of the time...anyway...The Stop and Go I meant was a drive-in restaurant, shakes, hamburgers, etc...but I do remember the convenience stores you mention too.
My favorite Nancy Drew books (which sometimes I still read because I save them for my granddaughter...were the first ones written back in the 30's...and I loved their fashions then too. They are shown in the illustrations on the cover and inside the original books. Applewood publications has a facsimile of them out now. Really nice.
