  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

A neighbor boy who was the mature age of 13 invited me (when I was the same age) to my first ball game in a ball park. It was a softball game. I liked it so well I started practicing and later joined a girl's team. I was a catcher. Fun! Presently I am a Mariners' fan!

We are also Seattle Marniners' fans. My brother used to play softball when he was a young man. He taught me how to throw and catch and said I did okay 'for a girl'. I enjoyed going to his games and watching him pitch. I think those were my first ball games in a ball park, but not like Safeco field, of course.

My high school puppy love crush :D ...played right field on the h.s. team. I would go to watch the games and even sit on the bleachers and watch some practices. It was always in the spring about this time of year. Fun to share these memories. I love this thread! ^_^

Oh, oh, it's a good thing I've got supplemental! :p

Anyway, I think I will just watch everyone skate. May try a little vigorous walking though.

Who knows, you might get inspired to try it. You will be in our prayers. But in either case have fun!

I played varsity tennis..first girl's doubles. We were seated first in the district but lost our last match. But I earned three letters for tennis. After college I was hired as a high school coach once but turned down that contract and went to Alaska instead. After that I didn't play again for over twenty years, but when I went back it all came back to me. Taught my kids to play. Now my grand kids are taking lessons but not from me. :D I still play ping pong. ^_^ Oh, those memories! ;)

Ping Pong - Now there's my game. I played baseball, Minor League and Little league but was much better at ping pong. Used to go to the YMCA after school and play. The winner stayed on the table until defeated. At first I didn't stay long but that improved significantly over time.
