  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Do you remember? (another nostalgia thread)

Remember the old McDonald's commercial with the young girl at a girls' camp writing a letter to home on a rainy day, then the campers all rode the bus to McDonald's to eat lunch.

And the one with girl at her piano recital, moaning to herself about how glad she'd be when she was done.

I remember when they only had four... The Blue Diamonds came later.

Hmmmm, that's interesting. :) Now they have rainbows, horseshoes, and pots of gold.

And speaking of cereals:

"Silly Rabbit, Trix are for KIDS!"

And who doesn't remember lifting their cereal bowls to their ear to hear their Rice Krispies "talk" to them: "Snap!" "Crackle!" "Pop!"

Memories, memories, memories....

I never had an authentic one.

What I did have, however, was a handmade doll, and one of the Parker Brothers CPK storybooks entitled "The Shyest Kid in the Patch". I loved that book, because the main character was like me at the time.

Then a few years later, Topps Bubble Gum came up with a parody: Garbage Pail Kids. Those were kind of sick, now that I look back.

I love this thread!!

I have a few-okay maybe more than a few..

Did anyone watch this short-lived tv show called "Other World". Similar concept to "Land of the Lost" except that the people were clones or robots or something?

Arid extra dry commercial- get a little closer....

Parkay, Butter, Parkay, Butter

Dukes of Hazzard theme song- watched it a few weeks ago

The Y in the New York token

Slinky commercials- fun for a girl or a boy

Dungeons and Dragons the cartoon

Growing Pains with my biggest tv crush- Kirk Cameron (he is a Believer now, too.)

And, although I was little- I was obsessed with Dynasty....
