  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Do you remember? (another nostalgia thread)

I remember when I had flouresant orange shoe strings
Speaking of orange shoe strings - remember the shoestrings with printing on them? Mine had dogs on them and said "I (heart) my dog" or something like that.

I sit here browsing this thread and I look down and to my right and what do I behold but my Atari 2600 ...

pitfall ... jungle hunt ... demons to diamonds ... river raid ... aah the times when my interest was captured by those simple 2-d games.

oh ... and i had jelly shoes too. they were TERRIBLE on the beach. sweaty rubber and sand do NOT mix no matter what the commercials say.

I had a doll called "Bye Bye Diapers", which came with a potty chair and a bottle to fill with water. The doll had sleepers, with a little flap that could be unfastened for her to "go number one" in the little toilet. You fed the doll water from the bottle. Then you put the doll on the little potty, pull the string in the back, and the doll would make a clapping motion while doing her business.
