  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

No, if someone gives me a gift I respect that and keep it. I don't try to exchange it or anything.
Ew, that sounds so sentimental. I can imagine you storing up trinkets by females and taking them out to smell and put under your pillow at nights too.

Smell? I don't have a sense of smell.. lol.

I just think it's rude to not accept the gift from another. Years go by.. you can throw it away I guess.

I do recycle, gotta save the planet! :cool1:

It also happens to be the law here. Taiwan has one of the world's most efficient recycling systems :ahem:

The garbage trucks come by my place five days a week and the recycle truck comes by twice a week, both play music to let you know they're coming so we can get our trash/recyclables out on time. So some people have fun with it:

I don't recycle trash. My son does do it sometimes because our town does collect the recyclables along with the trash. I believe that in most cases, the energy used to recycle trash is greater than the value of the recycled trash. I might make more of an effort if I had a bigger kitchen so I could set up proper bins...but then water is wasted cleaning up the trash before it is put in to be recycled.

I do recycle non-trash items. I primarily shop at thrift stores and donate items that are in a condition that others can use.

Enzymes that are designed to break down plastics usually won't chemical combine with something that isn't what it is designed to break down. No different than if you dumped cleaning ezymes (spray and wash) won't damage the washing machine or your skin.

In the hospital, I see people trying to recycle things or save them to take home ... but all I can think is that we really don't want to recycle the germs that are in those rooms. I know a couple nurses are upset about straws...but I serious hope that all hospital trash and waste is incinerated.

I guess you win!

I recycle quite a bit but arrange them in a way they don't look too obvious in my room.
