1 Corinthians 4:3-4
"I do not even judge myself. For I am conscious of nothing against myself, but not by this am I vindicated. But the one who judges me is the Lord".

I believe the above verse for me

Thank you! Thank you. Thank you!

Do you know how many justify their own sin, but saying that Paul sinned, more than them all! Those sins were before he was a Christian, when he actually killed Christians, but there are those who like to going fishing in God's lake of forgetfulness. They better watch out or God may make them eat the fist they catch there!

Read the two Bible verses in post #94, Anand Prabhu Antony.
Read the two Bible verses in post #94, Anand Prabhu Antony.
I don't have anything against myself regarding sin, but that will not vindicate me. I believe that only Christ can vindicate me.

1 Corinthians 9:27
"I discipline my body and bring [it] into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified".

Though my flesh is weak, I am not practice sinning willfully or consciously. I fear our Lord and belive that my body is the temple of GOD. I discipline my body as much as through the grace of our Lord.

Titus 2:11-12
"For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, training us in order that, denying impiety and worldly desires, we may live self-controlled and righteously and godly in the present age..."

Do you wish this on anyone?

No one here has "justified" any sin. We have directed where we are to go when we do sin.

Read those two verses in post #94.

These verses:

"My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:" ~I John 2:1

"the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." ~Matt 26:41

In 1981 I asked the Lord "how long"? And He spoke to me and said "10 years." This question was about a previous prophecy.

Eight and a half years later I met a fellow Christian at work (we both worked at 20th Century Fox in L.A.), and had a short engagement, ten months later, I started having a check in my spirit during the week before the wedding to not marry him. But I had already booked the best florist in Beverly Hills, and my photographer was the only photographer allowed 100% access to photograph the Pope when he was in Los Angeles. The wedding was going to be a big deal. The check in my spirit was letting me know he wasn't the one for me, but I felt I would have to make it work, so I reasoned with myself that God would be okay with it seeing as he was a "Christian." My sin was talking myself into the belief that my will was God's will. So, basically, I lied to myself.

I went through 13 years of every kind of abuse imaginable. But I blamed myself that I had not waited the full ten years. I learned obedience through suffering.

Now do you really think I EVER want to sin again? Not on your life, my life, or the life of anybody else!

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Sin causes so much heartache. I often wonder what my life could have been like if I had just waited. That sorrow keeps me on the very straight and narrow; but I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me. Why? Because His seed is in me.

So why do you continue in sin? I told you my story. Or do you just say that, somehow thinking it makes you appear humble.

I found something interesting in Romans 6. Even though when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we are dead to sin, we must keep reminding ourselves of that truth. Why? It is so you don't buy into the lie of the devil, that says, "Did God really say that"? "Go ahead and sin; your present and future sins are also forgiven, because they were all 'future' when Christ died." Oh, really? Where is that found?

Peter makes reference to the fact that it was our old sins that were forgiven in 2 Peter 1:9.

As far as I can tell, you are suggesting that the last time you sinned was in the late 1980s.

Since that time, are you saying that you have perfectly loved God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength and perfectly loved your neighbor as yourself?

Since that time are you saying that you’ve been perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect?

Since that time have you had no idolatry or false worship in the heart and have relied and depended upon God alone for all things?

Since that time has your heart been free of all sinful anger?

Since that time have you perfectly forgiven all those who sin against you and never desired to take vengeance upon them?

Since that time has your heart been free from all covetousness?

Since that time have you had perfect zeal in your heart for the things of God at all times?

Since that time have you never once been resentful, boastful, or insisted upon your own way?

Since that time have you been perfectly devoted to the Lord?

Since that time have you glorified God in everything that you do?

Do you know why a Christian cannot willfully sin

Since, as you say, you sinned and "willfully" sinned, were you saved (a Christian) when you willfully sinned?

Neither does anyone here practice sinning willfully or consciously.

And yes, our flesh IS weak. THAT is why we need to put on the full armor of God and be armed with His Sword, which is God's Word.

As it is written, the enemy prowls around seeking whom he may devour.

It is GOD Who strengthens us.

Not "us".

AS it is written, we can do NOTHING in our own strength.

I had quenched the Spirit, and didn't even know it was a sin at the time. I sinned a sin not unto death. But I repented, and now make sure I am no longer dull of hearing. What I wrote was to the question of when did I last sin (of any kind).

A full-blown willful sin is one that you KNOW it is in rebellion to God, and you do it anyway.

You see, 1 John 1:7 is someone who is walking in the light, and yet at the end it still says the blood of Jesus cleanses them of all sin. So what type of sin can we sin commit while we are walking in the Spirit?

1 John 5:16-17
16 If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that. 17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death.

I'm aware of what willful sinning is. I asked you if, when you sinned, you were a "Christian"/saved when you sinned willfully?

Without Holy Spirit we cannot overcome fleshly desires. Holy Spirit is an active working Spirit.

Our focus is at opposite ends of the spectrum.

I believe God when He says we are dead to sin. The shackles are off. We are free to be righteous. "Whom the Son makes free, is free in deed."

You believe we WILL sin, and repent, and WILL sin again and again. You live a weak powerless existence, like those still under the law (the man in Romans 7).

Which did Jesus do? John 10:10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."

The key is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. "And you will receive power once the Holy Spirit is upon you."

No, i asked you if you were a Christian/saved when you willfully sinned against God and as you say, quenched His Holy Spirit in you?

You were not dead to sin?

You had shackles on?

Peter also deceived everyone when he ate with his Gentile brothers and wanted to hide it because he didn't love his Gentile brothers in Christ.

Paul had to chastise him for such bigotry.

Was he a Christian/saved?

Did he sin?

Exactly! But you are living as those under the law. They had the word of God, but it could do nothing about their flesh.

BUT!

What does Romans 8:9 say, huh? You are NOT in the flesh, but in the Spirit, IF the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

You are continuing to tell yourself you are weak and do not believe God who gives you His own power. So guess what? You will be. For whatever a man thinketh, so is he.

On the contrary, i am strong in Christ, for it is through Christ alone that i find strength. I can do nothing in my own strength, as it is written.

I was asking about YOU, however. When you blatantly and willfully sinned against the living God and as you say, quenched His Holy Spirit, were you a "Christian"/saved when you willfully sinned?

The marriage wasn't a willful sin. My husband was a Christian, so by the Bible it was okay. I had not learned to recognize that checks in the spirit are warnings. I do now.

I realize you are trying to attack me, and that's understandable. I've been attacked by anyone with your belief system. But I am sustained with friends that know exactly what I'm talking about because they have their own testimonies.

Would you like some more ammunition against me? I can tell you of the last time I committed willful sin. Would you like to hear that testimony?

You said that it was a willful sin, and you paid the consequences of that willful sin.

i'm asking you to answer the question that you yourself raised, even in the title of this thread. And that is:

Do you know why a Christian cannot willfully sin

I pose the question to you. Can a Christian willfully sin?

Were you a Christian/saved when you willfully sinned?

You are bearing false witness, so stop it and listen. I've already answered this latest barb in the one above.

I am not lying.

I am merely asking for clarification of something that you raised yourself in this thread.
