Good for you ischus- but realize that you are probably in the minority. Just as not all guys are shallow, there are some who are nothing but (this goes for females too), and that is not a false generalization.

I have also had to struggle with weight, having recent lost a lot. My success in this area would be an encouragement to lose, yet I would be understanding along the way.

One of my best friends is a heavier woman, and I must tell you she's never had trouble finding a good man to love and respect her- in his right mind, and not from a specific state. There are good men out there for all of us. God wouldnt make it any other way.
How exactly did you think your comment would be recieved?Raanan said:Bah, I didn't mean my comment about overweight women to be a slam.

I expected it to be taken as it was written. As an attempt to describe my personal preference. If anyone is too insecure with themselves to accept it as the inane comment it was then just **** it. There's no point in even having this discussion if such is the case. List your preferences here! but only if they can't be misconstrued... right.Ashlynn said:How exactly did you think your comment would be recieved?
Look- we all have our preferences and our dislikes- I personally would prefer a guy to be taller than me, but I dont know what God has for me, so I cant hold steadfast to it. Do I think that makes me shallow- nope- it's a preference, but there are women who will only go out with tall guys, if they are not tall then forget it- and that is shallow. I dont understand how you misconstrue one for the other.
For every person who does not like one thing there is someone else who likes something else. Not once did I or anyone else say that you should change your preferences- did you see that anywhere?
I dont understand why you guys are worrying about it if you dont feel you are shallow. If you arent shallow then the comments werent made towards you, and they shouldnt bother you.
Dont sweat it-

I dont get that you dont see that your comment was rediculously rude- if you wrote it again, I'd say it again- "round" women probably wouldnt care much for you either.....Raanan said:I expected it to be taken as it was written. I am not worried about it. I know I'm not shallow. I defend myself because my post was specifically refered to. You all, brought me specifically, into it.

Tall girls over 5'10" with wavy brownish blonde hair. It's my ex's fault. Why I wouldn't mind a girl my height. It would be rather different.
Hey, I know tall girls rock! Im a shorty though- Im only 5'8- when i was dating it seemed like tall girls would shun me- dating me was below them LOL pun intended. I did manage to date two girls who were taller than me though. I really was a little nervous around girls who could drink a bowl of soup off of my head!Caelda said:Tall chicks rock!
Why do tall gals make you nervous? I'm curious. Do most men feel that way?
