CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes I am crushing. LOL. It's been about um...nearly 2 weeks and so far so good....lol. And he seems interested in getting to know me. So we shall see how it goes!

My crazy ex and I were in a long distance relationship... eh, forever. 2 years and some odd months, anyway. Well, when he was doing basic training with the school he went to he could only email every couple weeks. After those few months, he could email/call/write whenever he wanted yet I'd only get one line emails, maybe two at most, nothing more. And here I was, writing him every single day just to give him something to read and let him know that I was thinking about him. It'd take him an entire week to respond with a one-liner sometimes, even though I knew for a fact that he could and did check his email everyday. Now that we aren't dating (I'd NEVER make that mistake again) he emails me a lot, and usually more than just a few lines. He always ends with "I miss you" or, "Hope you're okay." Sometimes, he even calls -something that very rarely happened when we were dating and he was at school. Weird, annoying, flipping infuriating.
When we were dating, he asked me to type a little in German so he could learn more -he was taking classes in school- and so I'd usually type a few "I miss you" sort of lines in German at the end of my emails and it was sort of one of our ways of flirting.
Today, he emailed saying something like, "Speak some German for me."
So basically, that rant was just me telling him off. How's that for German for ya, pal?
He's so freaking lame.

lol that is funny. I have never thought about that... what foreign languages do I know swear words in? Oh thats right - none!
As for the other part it is always lame when you are finally getting over someone when they start showing interesting.

Oh, I've been done with this for well over half a year but he just keeps on writing. I don't want to cut him off completely because he's doing military training that's pretty rough and doesn't have any other support from his family, so he needs someone to at least take a little bit of interest in what he's doing. But he brought this on himself. Not to make myself out to be anything I'm not, but I was Super Girlfriend for him. Always writing, always sending stuff, always thinking of little things I could do for him and then going incredibly far out of my way to do them. And that entire time, all he could do was hint at how, "This (our relationship) won't work. I really want it to, but it just won't." Again, LAME.
Anyway, the Lord has totally changed everything in that department and one minor thing I've learned while becoming a Christian is that Christian guys are absolutely incredible. So, no complaints. Just the occasional German rants.
