Christ said, My disciples will fast.
If one does not fast (at least to some minimal degree), how can one in all honesty call oneself a disciple of Christ?
This might sound like a stupid question, but how often is that? One day per week or several? How long can you do that?I fast every week (or try to) and I'd recommend this to anyone!
Shakiness and dizziness are normal, but not if you experience themOne question about fasting, though because that is a thought that really
scares me. I sometimes have days when I'm really, really anxious and can't
eat until the afternoon. Eventuelly, I start getting extremely shaky and dizzy.
Once, when I ate very little for several days (about a cereal bar per days) I
fainted once and for the rest of the time, I was always very dizzy and very
close to fainting - in those cases I had some dextrose because I could feel that
I was losing it, blackness etc. Today that would be even more dangerous
because I have to cycle to a lot of places, so if Iwas constantly on the verge of
fainting, I would be a great danger to myself and others. Do those of you who
fast experience that? How do you deal with that during every-day life? How do
you go grocery-shopping or to work without fainting? The one time I did,
luckily, I was already in hospital, but I wouldn't want to faint outside and have
an ambulance car take me to hospital. How do you avoid that?
