Do you believe in ghosts?

Ever notice that a person who believes in ghosts is far more likely to have a "ghostly" experience than those who don't believe? It seems like those who do believe often have multiple "experiences," as well. A strange, and probably telling, correlation.

For what it's worth, I don't believe in ghosts and have never had a paranormal experience of any kind.

I believed in them before I ever had experience with them. Lots of people have had experiences with "ghosts," or more accurately the spirit or interdimensional world, but many don't say any thing because it is a quick way to get laughed at.

Yes. I see, so because I believe in them I manifested everything that happened - physical or otherwise. Or, I am imagining it. Good counter-case for people who believe in God and His miracles...

No, it is ignorant and kind of cowardly, to be worried about ridicule from people like you. There are things inexplicable by science that happens to many people, and they neither understand it, nor want it. And, with help from people like you, they actually do tend to go crazy, believing they are crazy. Scoffing, denial and incredulity are powerful weapons of folly.

I had an experience with ghosts when I was a kid.

I was clearing out my Grandma's house soon after she died, and it was just me there at the time (like most people who experience a ghost, I was alone).

Suddenly I became aware of a strange moaning noise coming from one of the bedrooms upstairs. I was scared. I stood and listened to it for a while - it sounded like speech, but garbled, so I couldn't understand it.

Eventually I plucked up the courage to go and confront the demon. I walked upstairs, and though I could hear the moaning more clearly, I still couldn't understand what it was saying. As I reached the top of the stairs, I could hear that it was coming from my Gran's bedroom at the end of the hall. Could it be her spirit trying to communicate with me?

Still very scared, I walked purposefully into the room. The noise continued, but there was no ghost to be seen. Then I realised that the noise was coming from a radio on the table next to the bed. The radio was on full volume (my Gran's hearing was going towards the end) and was set on one of those timers in the plug socket which give power at set times. And because the radio was not tuned in correctly, the speech was garbled.

So, no, ghosts do not exist. Until one turns up on live TV, or walks into a packed football stadium, I'm throwing my lot in with confirmation bias.

If "ghost" is defined as the visible essence of a departed (human) soul then no, I don't believe in them. Satanic entity? Probably.

I've had spiritually unexplainable experiences.Just because ghosts are unexplainable does not make them not real.
Before we became aware of the existence of germs,they were "not real" to everyone..that does not mean that they did not exist.

There's also zero compelling evidence that ghosts, or anything "supernatural" exists.

But dead people's essences hanging around? No.

2 Cor 5:6-8 So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord. For we live by believing and not by seeing. Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord.

Same thing happened with ulcers. The dogged academics were up in arms a colleague would even suggest something outside of the established standard that ulcers are due to stress. Until the denial was so thick, that Dr. Barry Marshall drank a petri dish full of h. pylori and gave himself an ulcer to just vindicate himself.

Now, everyone knows it is bacteria that causes peptic ulcers, not stress or "Indian food," as was even the scientific concensus for decades.

It's not a moot point, lol. Why else would someone believe in the supernatural with no evidence? One wouldn't.
