  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do you agree that christians should keep the 10 Commandments? (4)

You are correct so far, but left one thing in error.

You believe you can not fulfill the law holy demands, for you admit that you will always remain a sinner and depends solely on Christ imputed righteousness.

This believe is not supported by the Scripture, as I have presented. Step one more foot to the higher ground.

In Christ we can do all things! The spirit works in us to will and to do!

By surrendering our self, walking after the Spirit, subjecting the flesh to the will of God, discipline the body, all through faith, we could keep the commandments and be righteous as He was righteous.

What is the point when Jesus said: "Don't sin anymore", if he knew that no one can do it?

But Jesus has condemned sin in the flesh, even he has been made the same as his fellow brothers, has the same sinful flesh, has been tempted as we will be tempted, there is not one point whatsoever that Satan may use to accuse Him for our failures. All Satan can do is to offer a hoax to Christianity that they might be concealed from the truth.

He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. 1 John 2:6.

If Christ walk in perfect righteousness and holiness, shall we walk in failures and weakness and unrighteousness?

If Christ keep the law perfectly and fulfill it demands, shall we walk in lawlessness and denies?

Salvation does NOT eradicate our sin nature. As long as we remain in these mortal bodies, we will NEVER fulfill the demands of the law. This includes you. Read Romans 6-8 IN CONTEXT. NOBODY will attain sinless perfectionism in this lifetime. Sanctification is a lifetime process. We need to daily walk in the Spirit.

May the lawlessness see the truth, and their veil removed.

I see what differ us. I believe in the Scripture and you not. I believe in Christ I can do all things and you not. I believe the Spirit will do what He will in me, and you not. I believe after having the mind of Christ which replace my carnal mind at justification by faith, I have the power of the Spirit to keep and obey the law and subjecting my body to the law of God through discipline, self sacrificing, temperance, etc, and you not. I believe in sinless perfection might be achieved in this side of the world, and you not.

But I'm gladly to believe that I'm in line with the Scripture teaching, and not blindly take the hoax of Satan that taught we could not reach a sinless perfection at this side of the world.

What is the point of daily walk in the Spirit, of a life time sanctification if it just left you in the same miserable unrighteous and imperfect character as at the day you came the first time to Christ, a sinner justified by faith, having none of his own righteousness to present to God, and hide behind Christ imputed righteousness? Everybody knows that in this state, there is no way for you to enter heaven and live among the perfect righteous holly being before God.

Please study this holy revelation:
He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous[e] still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.” Rev. 22:11.

which side you would be with your belief, I know where I would be with my belief.

So, in order not to come under condemnation of the law, what should you do?
How does a Christian come under the condemnation of the law?

Here is an interesting verse: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

I thought that is what Paul is talking about in Romans 7.

I thought that is what Paul is talking about in Romans 7.
What exactly do you mean? Romans 7 is Paul's struggle with the flesh and it was a present struggle that he had, not a past struggle. He writes in the present tense, not past tense.

Romans 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Salvation doesn't make a person "sinlessly perfect". We are not "sinless" but we do "sin less"...IOW, we don't continue living IN sin, because we have been freed from the penalty and power of sin.

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Do you know that a Walk after the Spirit will lead you to keep and obey the law of God, in order He might fulfill the righteousness of the law in you. When will you come to this realization?

The whole of Romans chapter 7 is telling us about a law of sin and death in our body, which originated to the carnal mind, which is enmity against God for it is not subject to the law of God, keeping us doing what evil is, despite we want to do what good is, because we have no power to do it from our own. The remedy found in Christ. Having His mind that replaced our carnal mind, we will be brought in to subjection to the law of God.

Which mind? The mind of Christ, for it is impossible with his carnal mind.

Take attention on what Paul said: "With the mind I my self serve the law of God." (Romans 7:25), After serving the law, he came in harmony with the law demands and just then, "there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit" (Romans 8:1). Serving the law is walking after the Spirit.

The spirit of life in Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit that resides in Paul's mind replacing the carnal mind, released him from the law of sin and death that dominate him, which originated from his carnal mind, and further enable him to serve the law of God (Romans 8:2), this makes him not under condemnation of the law.

But without the mind of Christ, the flesh could not produce righteousness and the law could not justify him, this makes all men comes under condemnation of the law. God send Christ in the likeness of sinful flesh, and with his perfect obedience, he condemn, he conquered, he over ruled the power of sin in him (Romans 8:3).

This is an example for us, that if we walk as He had walked, having His mind and walk after the Holy Spirit, we too might condemn the sin in us, and from a man that was not subject to the law of God, we becomes those who has the righteousness of the law in us (Romans 8:4).

Read further, and you will find out that Paul found the solution in Romans 7:25, with the continuation in Romans 8.

So, if he found the solution or remedy, would he remain in the condition of Romans 7, that you said is his present struggle? I know it is not.

Living in the carnal mind, you will come to a situation presented in Romans 7, but having the mind of Christ, you will live according to the Spirit, into subjection to the law of God.

Believing that we could not achieve sinless perfection is the same as believing we will remain in our sins.

This is against the Scripture teaching.

Here is one of it:

Matthew 1:21
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.

Satan dislike this, he taught: Christ will save his people in their sin.

When did you learn about the Law of God... before accepting the Lord as your savior or after? It is not the carnal mind, that dwells on the Law of God.. because they are not interested in hearing about it, or they have not been introduced to it, ... or they are in rebellion against it..
