I keep asking because you keep dodging. At first you appealed to your faith, then to the Bible. When asked how you knew the Bible's claims to be true, you simply said that the Bible is the word of God. That's what the Bible claims itself to be, and therefore the very claim in question.

Your answer was, in effect, that "the Bible is the word of the god." At no point did you indicate how you knew this to be true, as anyone reading the conversation can plainly see.

Well you sure gave him a valid reason why you are a Christian, you sure told him.

However we fully understand that it's not your fault why you can't give a reason, it's because no one has ever given you a solid enough reason why you should believe, I expect they told you what would happen if you didn't believe but then they just left you to sort it all out for yourself.

We shared about the history of Christianity and how its persevered throughout the centuries despite the heavy persecutions. We shared how its changes people's lives. We shared our own personal experiences and how we have felt the Holy Spirit within us and the presence of God.

And you and others have continually poo pooed, everything we've said, made light of it, some have made fun of it and ridiculed it. I've said this before to some Athiests who have done the same things. The only thing that will satisfy you is if God or Jesus himself appeared in front of you and spoke with you. All that we have said and experienced ourselves will NEVER satisfy you. And you have never found God because you are not seeking God. And you never will. So, I too am done with this conversation. We have given the reasons for our faith and like we are instructed to do by Jesus we leave this place and shake the dust off our feet. I just hope that someday you and others like you will recognize your need of Jesus.

I agree Rjs330. There comes a time to respectfully bow out and move on. There are many who have no interest in actually asking honest questions because their minds are already made up, but there are people out there who truly are seeking. It is my hope that somehow those people find the answers they are looking for.

Like other religions.

We shared our own personal experiences and how we have felt the Holy Spirit within us and the presence of God.

The same is reported by believers of other religions.

If the above is any indication, you have given poor reasons to accept the claims of your religion. In fact, you wouldn't accept those reasons from someone whose theological commitments are different to your own. You would ask them to give you better reasons.

In what way have my questions been less than honest? Your answers have been, quite frankly, very poor. That's not a reflection on the honesty of my questions.
