And for that matter, no one knows.

I disagree, and obviously many others do as well. Do I have ALL the answers, of course not. But I do believe God created the earth and everything in it.

"Believe" and "know" are two different things, of course.

Not always, this is why some creationists have argued back so strongly, because scientific views have been claimed as absolutely factual.
But they haven't argued back so strongly at all. They are on the fringes. They're not found in the lab, but giving lectures in churches and polluting the curriculum on the school board. You'll find them in the legislative chamber, but not in the field doing scientific work.

For example?

Go to any museum or zoo, turn on any nature documentary. They ALL claim scientific theories about the origin of life as absolute and indisputable fact. They even have nice little drawings to go along with their theories.

You believe that, but if you claim to know that to be true, you should be able to support those claims.

This is false.

I could, and I have, but it is always rejected here.

I see nothing in any of those claims that says "this is absolute and indisputable fact."

I would hope that would be inferred -- or does every single statement made from this point on have to end with "but then again, maybe not"?

Not at all. How many creationists attend scientific conferences? How many are actually in the lab? How many publish their work in peer-reviewed journals? Instead of doing that they build amusement parks (Ken Ham's "Ark Encounter") and lobby governments to degrade the science curriculum. They spend more of their resources on political activity than any scientific activity.

Okay, I did a quick search to see if I could find some scientists who are active in their fields and are also Christians.

I know that this is a wikipedia link, but I have done a bit more research on some of the names on this list, and I will do more later, after I get some stuff done around here.

This link lists many many scientists both past and present who have done FAR more than "lobby governments and degrade the science curriculum."

Anyway, the names are all there for further study, as I don't trust wikipedia to be conclusive on anything.

By all means. Let's get rid of every single bit of information about religion, and every single information about evolution. Better yet, let's get rid of all scientific knowledge. Take humanity back to the stone age.

I can guarantee you right now that people will discover science again. We will discover the laws of motion, and the Pythagoras theorem (even though it will be called something else). We will discover electricity, how to make alloys, we will develop flight, and we will once again get into space using rockets. We will split the atom, harness solar power and develop ways to examine the smallest particles in nature, just as we have today. And we will do all this in much the same way that we will today. Because it is based off the way the universe works.

And yes, we will develop religion again, but I can guarantee you this: it won't be Christianity.

I was looking for you on this list:

Will they market Thalidomide as a prenatal wonder drug again?

(Please answer this. There's a very good reason for asking.)

Are you short and stumpy? I've know some fun fellows under 4 ft.

I think your task was to find creationists! We all know there are plenty of Christians who are accomplished scientists, that's not up for debate

I didn't ask for a list of Christians, but of creationists. Not all Christians are creationists, and it would dishonest to conflate the two. Amusingly, your list includes Francis Collins and Kenneth Miller, who are definitely NOT creationists.

So, your answer is to pick out one name? Now I know you didn't read through the list in its entirety that fast. Do your own search then. The internet is just as available to you as it is to me.

I don't have any "task". You are quite free to do your own search. No one is stopping you.
