The modern banana is a genetic monstocity that is completely man made and preserved only through the efforts of humans. If we decided not to actively ensure the survival of the fruit we see in supermarkets, it would die out likely within a few years.

Bananas have been around for several thousand years though. Close kin to humans.

Not the sort you see in the supermarket, nor is 50% genetic similarity close.

The sort which existed several thousand years ago is about 50% according to the Natural History Museum site....

"DNA is found in all known living organisms, from complex animals like chimpanzees and humans, to single-celled organisms like plankton in the oceans.

The same 4 bases occur in the DNA molecules of all these types of organisms. Also, the A, T, G and C bases always occur in a similar sequence from one end of the DNA molecule to the other. This is evidence that humans are related to every other species on Earth.

The genes of organisms that look very different are surprisingly similar. For example, human DNA sequences are over 95% identical to chimpanzee sequences and around 50% identical to banana sequences.

You have to go back in time a long way to find a common ancestor between humans and bananas, but ultimately they have both emerged from the same family tree, the tree of life, and that is why they share common characteristics."

The video is funny enough stand alone. In a tread where it has just been pointed out the modern banana is a result of human intervention it becomes hilarious.
Why?

God gives us scientists to manipulate His hardware to produce products that are beneficial to us, in partial fulfillment of John 10:10b.

He, of course, gets the credit.

Plants do not change as animals do. If evolution describes the behavior of animal change, then it does not apply to plants.
As you seem to know so much about evolution I would be interested to know why out of approximately 12,000 species of plants on Madagascar about 10,000 of them grow no where else on the earth? that's an awful lot of plants to be found only on one relatively small island, do you think you could tell me how that happened? Thank you.

Evolution describes the "behaviour" of life change. Animals and plants are both life.

Not once is several thousand years ago mentioned.

According to the theory of evolution, this is not possible.
So, evolution is false.
