100 degrees Celcius? What rock can't take 100 degrees? How is 100 degrees in any way extreme when it comes to rocks. I've made rocks far hotter than 100 degrees and it didn't alter them at all.
I did not agree with myself about 7 or 8 years ago. It is normal.
Whenever God wants you to know it, then you start to know it. Many Christians never need to know this in all their lives.
Remember, life is not defined by biology, but by the Bible. So, most college graduates may not know what a life is.
So even though it shows that a rock does NOT perform one of the things needed in order to call it a life form, it is still alive.
How can it be alive if it fails the first test for being alive?
Completely different. That is a change caused by the water. The rock is not actively changing because of the water. It is passively changing. Life forms undergo ACTIVE changes, not passive ones.

I think he's confusing the temperature that water boils with the temperature that rocks melt.
How can you disagree with yourself?
Name one rock that will be "intolerant" of 100 degrees Celsius.
lmao. I can't believe the argument about rock life is still in full swing.
Juve, do rocks have a metabolism? no? then they aren't alive.
/argument.
Seriously, this is perhaps the silliest argument I have ever seen an adult make. You simply must be pulling our legs.
How so? How is shale intolerant of 100 degrees Celsius?

If viruses aren't alive, rocks certainly aren't.
Without giving me a strict definition, I would say yes.
Metabolism: intake energy -- chemical change -- output energy.
I do not agree. As long as it changes, it fits the criterion.
Besides, when a chemical reaction happened spontaneously, it is active, not passive.
