Their state isn't revealed. I know that God is good and whatever is their end it's good. That it's not revealed is reason enough to be against abortion.

Honestly this falls under the category of Titus 3:9.
But if you want my 2 cents, Why would God form bother to form the child in the womb if He would not take the child to heaven if he or she would die prior to the age of ? Every life matters and I do believe that you have a soul when you are formed. But honestly, this should not affect that our charge is to protect the innocent. To me this form of questioning would be to lessen the guilt of killing the unborn or young. We can know that God is ALWAYS good, ALL the time. So I will not be like Job and question His ways. Jacob moved his family to Egypt. The names
of those who went are recorded in Genesis 46.

The sons and daughters (plural) who descended
from Jacob’s first wife Leah, and who made it

Yet there are only 32 names given for those

Why the discrepancy?

God says we don’t know how, but we know when a child receives the human spirit: when it’s in the womb!

I believe the Bible tells us that there is a time when people, mostly children, are not accountable for their actions and therefore, God considers them innocent.
Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Isa 7:15 Butter and honey shall he eat, when he knoweth to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
These two verses above are prophecy of Jesus. As Luke says, He grew in knowledge just like any other child.
Luk 2:52 And Jesus advanced in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

Verse 16 refers to Isaiah's son.
Isa 7:16 For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land whose two kings thou abhorrest shall be forsaken.

God tells us to choose life, choose Him, choose good.

Not to the exclusion of that the OT teaches. Whenever there is a setting-aside of some OT practice--and this is not a practice--it comes with an explanation. In this case, the idea of humans being born in sin is never repealed. People just don't want to believe it anymore.

Let me share a little Hebrew with you, OK? Please hang in there for a couple of minutes.

When we see the words sin, transgression, iniquity... we tend to lump them together as many words that mean "missing the mark." And while true, there is a caveat to that which might change your view about those who have not reached an age of understanding/accountability.

So in Hebrew, there are 3 different words that all carry a slightly different context. Understanding their variations is crucial...

The first is chata'ah which the KJV more times than not translated as sin. This word is defined in most lexicons as "missing the mark" but that definition misses the mark because it doesn't go far enough. Chata'ah is best seen in the image of an archer... who has a bow, arrows, and a target. His INTENT is ALWAYS to hit the target (the target being God's righteousness) and because he exists in a fallen state, he simply misses the target from time to time EVEN THOUGH he is doing his best to hit it. So this is unintentional or unknown sin.

The second is avon which is often translated as iniquity or transgression. The best definition is seen in the same archer... who has the same tools, the same target, AND the same intent. However, in this case, the archer gets caught up in an emotion that causes him, temporarily, to aim at the wrong target. So instead of aiming at God's commandments/will/instructions... he goes off and shoots at something else. When he calms down, he repents and turns back to the proper target.

The last is pesha... and pesha is really simple to define, rebellion. Same archer, same tools... but this time he knows the target and could care less. He deliberately aims at any other target. He is in rebellion against God... willful and deliberate sin.

The Yom Kippur sacrifice which points to messiah taking the sin away from his people, was specifically for chata'ah. When we talk about "Jesus died for sin" we are saying "chata'ah" and don't realize it.

So here is the deal... his death earns him the right to perfect ALL and his death is sufficient for all. But those who are of an accountability age, must confess, and repent, when we turn from him. That confession and repenting take us out of pesha or avon and bring us to a point where any mistake we make is not intentional. A baby has no intent to displease God... there is no rebellion, there is no temporary emotional breakdown.... there is nothing at all in terms of turning from God. They might be born into sin (the wages of which means they will taste death) but their sin is UNKNOWN to them, and therefore, the work of messiah covers it.

Aborted babies, babies of any age... children who don't know right and wrong... who die... are covered. Otherwise, the God of love, peace, joy... punishes those who had no intent to stand against Him?

As perhaps you'll remember seeing it, only Christ is given authority to judge salvation -- Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.. Only He could delegate that to anyone else.

So, what did He say....

Here's the one thing He said that is most clearly about this question:

Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

The title is separate from what is being asked. Do you believe that God knits us together in the womb?

Do you believe that God knows every heart of man?

From what I have read in the Bible, God knows who are His even being formed in the womb - even those who are murdered in and out of the womb.
God is not a tyrannical God, but a loving and righteous God Who judges all: Job 34:12, Revelation 20:12-13

People still pay the price for Adam's sin. Physical death and the nature to sin.
Some children suffer because of the bad choices their father makes, but the Bible never says those children are guilty of their fathers sin.
Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die: the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
