What things?
All you have to do is go back and see all the posts quoting scripture, then read the manipulative ways you explain it. It really isn't that hard.

What things?
you realize God in the OT abandoned and exiled the Jews many times due to their sin and idolatry against Him..Wasn't Nineveh the only city that truly repented and thus God protected??
Nineveh was the capitol of the Assyrian Empire. The Assyrians were notorious piratical imperialists, slaughtering everyone they didn't enslave.Nineveh was a gentile city that repented, showing that repentance is key to obtaining God's forgiveness. It is why when I repent, I know that God will forgive me because He showed us the way.

In point of fact they went on doing this until they were utterly destroyed by an alliance of their surviving neighbors. They never did repent, unless extermination is repentance. The Book of Jonah is a fictional tale told to make a theological point.
No, you should read your Bible a bit closer. God never abandoned Israel, only punished corporate Israel for transgressions. In fact, God always said that a remnant that were observant would survive, even when Elijah the prophet gave up on Israel because of Baal.

No I am not. Many who are true Christians are destroyed by Satan. You are saying that my family was not saved because my mother did not have enough faith are you not?
There lies the problem. MANY Christians do not know how to resist Satan. That is a false accusation of my mother. She had plenty of faith. My family was not saved because my father was an abusive pedophile that did not want to be saved. He was controlled by Satan, as was every person that told my mother to stay as well as not divorce.
You have obviously been hurt deeply, but blaming others is not a solution. God is faithful to ALL WHO BELIEVE His promises. The minister that counselled my family used the same scriptures you have and explained things in the exact same way.
You don't see how sick you are and you seem to be the only one. That is usually the case with the one's with distorted thinking.
Then it shouldn't be "that hard" for you to provide quotes of what I said. All you have to do is go back and see all the posts quoting scripture, then read the manipulative ways you explain it. It really isn't that hard.
There can be MANY reasons for that. What about Christians with mental illnesses? Do you really think that their mental illnesses are a sign that they don't have enough faith?
I have seen God work MANY miracles. Many that many Christians wouldn't believe if I told them.Heck, do you even have any proof that God can "cure" mental illnesses?
Then why did He create Hell?

James 4:7 (NKJV)
7 Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

We saw it with the Jews abandonment of God with pagan idols and greed, and thus God abandoned them.
okay, I have a serious question.
I'm currently (in the midst of) divorce without infidelity (for abuse, neglect, ect) but I now suspect that my spouse is/has been having relations with someone else. Does being unfaithful during a divorce *still* mean that I'm sinning for getting the divorce in the first place?
I am starting to learn this open forum is the last place to obtain any advice regarding the word of god. I have started going to the pastors at my church and what they tell me makes sense, they show me scripturally and interpret those scriptures in a way that is logical.
There are also many here who are like that and I would PM them specifically for their ideas if you really want to get something out of this site.
Just an idea.

I really wish that someone would offer a serious response to my last question (#436). It's a major concern for me right now...
You realise that there is a Christian only ethics board? People with Christianity specific questions would probably get a better result there.
Actually the few people that are insistent on shoving their pathetic, judgmental, manipulative, narrow minded views on others claim they are Christians. The Christian only ethics board isn't safe either sadly enough or any Christian only area on this site.
