Why is there a certain stigma towards people who are either bald or shave their head? Why do women prefer men with hair, and have a biasness towards those who do not have hair?

Would you date someone who was either bald or shaved their head?

My best guess on the preference for hair is the association of a full head of hair and youth. Humans in general have a bias towards qualities of health and youth.

Well... Some baldness is due to hormones in food. A lot of early menstruation (as in age 6, 9 or so) could also be attributed to it. I guess this just goes to show that eating healthy natural food is more beneficial than we give it credit for.

Is that Gail Porter? She used to be fit! I think she looked better with hair in all honesty.

I voted yes in the poll (even though I'm not that way inclined). Since I shave my own hair off sometimes, I obviously don't think there is anything wrong with a shaven head.

She had alopecia areata, so she didn't have much of a choice in the matter.

Oh  I read on her wiki page just now that she didn't wear a wig to raise awareness for the condition, so I guess it's worked on me.

Poor girl though, it's probably much worse for a woman to lose their hair. I don't think it would bother me too much, I'd just make sure it was cleanly shaved off all the time.

She reminds me of the girls in advertisements for glasses who would look better without glasses. She is cute but she would be hotter with hair.

For goodness sake, didn't you read the rest of the thread where it was pointed out she lost her hair through illness. But yeah, she is stunning with hair:

And while looking for those pictures, I found a few of her wearing rather less clothes. Excuse me.. I'll be back in 2 mins :)
