  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a new digital mixer for our worship services... any thoughts? I'm leaning towards the Behringer X32 compact. We don't need a lot of fancy stuff, just 8 drum mics, bass, electric, acoustic, + 4 vocals and MC mic.

Any other thoughts out there? Hoping to purchase something soon and I would love some input!

Yup.... bought the X32 and am loving it so far. Great sound... It actually sounds cleaner (with the digital snake) than the analog desk did with the "normal" snake. I guess shows more how old the analog stuff was and not so much how incredible the X32 is (although it is quite good).

Nothing like having compression and gates available on every channel to help clean up over eager musicians in a very "live" room!

Still getting my head around the whole thing though... so much to do, just gotta figure out how to make it do what I want!
