  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

At times I would feel something grab my wrist. Other times, I would be sleeping and feel someone come to kiss me. Or I would feel myself under the covers, and these lights were above my head. I started panicking and then suddenly felt composed. I said out loud, "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ!" and it disappeared. Basically a presence is felt.

Last night I was praying for a person or two. I don't pray as much as I should because it is really hard when I have chronic stomach/chest pain. I prayed until I just didn't want to any more.

When I stopped a vision or something over my soul came over. It as of hellfire and screaming. I then saw a picture of some sort of demon. I was terrified and thought maybe the Lord was angry at me or giving me a vision of my destiny if I don't pray enough.

I prayed inside my mind telling the devil to leave again and again in Jesus' name. It just didn't seem to work. I then became hot and it seemed to calm down a little. I went to sleep eventually but the feeling of fear I have woke up with.. What was this?
A test... a mystery or puzzle for you to unravel...

Yea thought I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, (or hell), I will fear no evil, (no demonic spirit or Satan) for I know you are with me...

Why didn't he fear, cause he knew God was and has always been right there with him, through anything... He did not leave, nor forsake, or emotionally abandon, David, ever, he even held him tighter... This was enough for David to be able to conquer his fear of evil...

God Bless!

I think it's strange how different people experience different levels of attacks. My wife for example, was tormented by demonic forces growing up, but whenever I was around her, they wouldn't bother her. But the moment I was at work, and she was alone, they would make noises in the hall, or she would hear voices talking in the house. Granted, she was more sensitive toward the spirit realm, and had a lot more experience than I had (unfortunately they were all bad :( )

I have those visions often, not of hell but of evil-looking eyes and faces. God might be giving you a warning, but it also might just be demons messing with you, you have to take authority over them. They do it when they know you are doing something spiritually powerful. God has to change your heart to be strong enough to take authority, so pray for God to give you a strong heart. It's a process.

Also, the same thing just happened to me this morning. I prayed for God to burn the demons messing with me and about a minute later I start feeling all warm and sweating and feeling a great fear... and then it all stopped and I felt like my heart just got ''stronger'' and I felt a great, beautiful peace. It was amazing

Our God does not inspire fear but He will get our attention in awe inspiring ways (Moses and the burning bush.
Paul and the shining light and Jesus speaking to him from heaven).
My only advice to you is to stay encouraged in the things of God. Peace.

Satan would love to frighten us, but Jesus our Saviour is watching over us. When we pray to Jesus, Satan will flee from us. Always remember that Satan is a loser. He tries to lie to us, but we know that Jesus is stronger. Jesus died for us, and now we belong to Jesus. Always remember Satan is a pretender, Satan lies and is powerless, when we call Jesus. Perhaps you had a dream, which frightened you. I say this with love. Greetings from Emmy, your sister I Christ. Always remember that Satan is a loser.

Hallucinations have been reported in cases of drug use including marijuana, LSD, mushrooms, etc. Some people suffering advanced alcoholism reported hallucinations such as seeing pink elephants. Some diseases or degeneration of the eyes caused people to see flashes of light that were not external. Malnutrition can be a cause of dementia. Some people suffering terminal illness reported hallucinations. People suffered hallucinations after brain injuries. A number of brain inured people showed signs of recovery by observing proper nutrition guidelines and abstaining from toxic drugs, alcohol, chemicals etc. Prolonged exposure to some types of paint and solvent fumes has led to brain damage observed on brain scans.

Never be fooled by people declaring its a mental illness
Nonsense. It's those of you who keep pounding the "it's the devil/demon" drum that are fooling those who are of weaker judgement or reasoning.

What does this post have to do with the supernatural realm, which, by the way, is real? A documentary was made about people who experience real night terrors. Out of all the people who were featured, the only one who was able to stop having them was the one who became a Christian--because, she spoke out loud the name Jesus (and this was a last resort for her). The demon disappeared and never came back. The others interviewed continue to experience night terrors, and try to explain it with science.

Yes, your post has some truth to it. However, it is not mental illness all of the time.

It's called "The Nightmare" and it's available on Netflix. The part where the woman talks about mentioning Jesus and her night problems stop is the testimony that these night terrors are demonic in many cases.
Thank you.

What about Korinne Wilson, another interviewee in that documentary? According to her website, she no longer experiences sleep paralysis...but she didn't become a Christian. In fact, she went in the opposite direction.

I'm not trying to negate your beliefs, but the real truth is that there was indeed at least more than one of the interviewees that no longer experience this phenomenon....and not because they embraced Christianity.

I used to have them, but, not anymore, not in years, and I think it was God getting rid of them...

Thank You Oh God!

I pray that others get to experience the same as well...

God Bless!

My cousin has them bad... I used to live with him, sounded like a kind of torture and torment that I was familiar with...
