Okay, let me show how silly your question is. I said the word sabbath means to cease or rest and it appears you say it doesn't. Need I really reply to that post?

You don't have to answer my questions regarding sin because I already know your answer. I was hoping the people who read this thread would see where you are coming from but I guess you're smarter than that.

You're defining a verb.....exactly what the verb "shabat" pronounced "shavot", which is spelled with 1 letter "B" means.

The word sabbath is a noun, it means "a 24hr day of rest."
Whenever it is used it implies a 24hr time limit.

When the word for 'rest' is used time is not directly implied unless it is specified.
If I said "Jack take a rest." or "Jack take a sabbath" you cannot say this means the same thing.

It's OK to disagree but when you ignor my responses and raise other issues, that's poor communication.

Why wasn't the Law made for a righteous man? Because righteous men obey the Law.
