If you did not feel vulnerable, you probably would not feel frustrated. The motive force of your frustration is your fear. That's OK - we all experience the same thing in different ways to different degrees.

Do you believe a Christian can lie, steal, commit adultery, forget the Sabbath, have other Gods and so on and still be right with God?

Do you believe a Christian can be right with God if they were not circumcised eight days after their birth?

Kind regards

This is what justification is all about -- it makes us "right with God." Everything we need in order to be "right with God" was accomplished through Jesus Christ. Justification is a divine activity, not a human one.

r....x has asked a good question. Do you believe a Christian can be right with God if they were not circumcised eight days after their birth? Similarly, could a Christian be right with God if he forgot to offer animal sacrifices or to celebrate the feast of weeks?

You didn't answer my question.
Already given up on the question with a question thing?
I see you are trying to play dumb to my question.

Let me answer your first question.
Did Jesus work on the Sabbath?
-No. Certainly not for a good part of His life. There was a time when He was accused of working on the sabbath so it is possible that later there are some sabbaths when He worked.
Now my question is far less contentious and has a simple answer.
Was Jesus circumcised when he was eight days old?
-Yes.
I'm sure I don't have to draw diagrams now for you to see the implications, surely ...

Yes....King David did and it was said he was a man after Gods own heart. Do you deny David did those things and was not a Christian? Now you accused BFA of not answering your question....now I have answered your question. So kindly answer my question.

Do you deny David did some of those things? There is no evidence in the bible there was a time David was not right with God.

What David did was evil in the sight of God, which means he was not right with God.

2 Samuel 11:26-27 Now when the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she mourned for her husband. When the time of mourning was over, David sent and brought her to his house and she became his wife; then she bore him a son. But the thing that David had done was evil in the sight of the Lord.

God had to send Nathan to bring David to repentence.

Now listen carefully and don't miss as you read because David's response is how God felt about David for what he had done.

2 Samuel 12:1-7 Then the Lord sent Nathan to David. And he came to him, and said to him: "There were two men in one city, one rich and the other poor. "The rich man had exceedingly many flocks and herds. "But the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb which he had bought and nourished; and it grew up together with him and with his children. It ate of his own food and drank from his own cup and lay in his bosom; and it was like a daughter to him. "And a traveler came to the rich man, who refused to take from his own flock and from his own herd to prepare one for the wayfaring man who had come to him; but he took the poor man's lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.'' Then David's anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, "As the Lord lives, the man who has done this shall surely die! "And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.'' Then Nathan said to David, "You are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel: `I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.

The reason why David was a man after God's heart was not because he was sinless, but rather, because he had a humble and broken and contrite heart. Read Psalms 51 sometime and you will hear the heart of David for his sins against God.

The wages of sin is death, even for David. Repentence is the only way to restore life and fellowship.

What about circumcision, the sabbath and other commandments? Are those not important too?

This thread shows very childish theology on your part.
Jesus came as an Israelite who got circumcised and probably didn't work on most sabbaths. I could give you a list of other things He did just because He was an Israelite but that is just a waste of time. Please try other more reasonable arguments. You are not doing your denomination any favours with this thread.

k4c,

Truly. We must receive John's baptism through water, then we are prepared to be baptized with the holy Spirit and with fire through the name and ministry of Jesus.

Luke 13:1-3
1 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. KJV
