Brother, yes! However, Jesus tells us He had the Ten Commandments as the minimum He requires to inherit eternal life. This minimum now has an additional new Eleventh Commandment to "follow" His example, not possible before Jesus, bringing the total to Eleven Commandments in the new covenant.

Once a religious leader asked Jesus this question: “Good Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?” “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked him. “Only God is truly good. But to answer your question, you know the commandments: ‘You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. That is an earlier covenant, not disputed and assumed by Jesus, kept by the young man from his youth, as James tells us, so as not to "make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God".
