My position is that there is insufficient evidence for me to accept that God exists. Lacking a belief in something is NOT the same as believing that the thing in question does not exist.

Can you show me a specific event in evolution where God took direct action?

Keep in mind my previous posts where I stated what I meant by "evolution" as a process of growth and change overall.

Specific event would be the flood and the evidence that has been shown such an event could have had a fast and dramatic effect on rock formation. There also would have been no ice age without it. I'd share another video but you don't like to watch them it seems.

There is no evidence for a worldwide flood. If you have evidence for such a flood, please provide it. Actually, would you be interested in participating in a thread to discuss the scientific evidence for Noah's flood?

But let's try this in reverse. I can prove to you that God doesn't exist. All you have to do is believe - and I mean genuinely believe - that hje doesn't exist, and you'll get your proof.

Personally, when I step back and look the big picture I have no problem saying that evolution started with the Big Bang. It's when I focus on the changes of the earth directly in an over time sort of way that the perspective changes for me.

What changes of the earth "directly" and "over time" are you talking of? It's interesting how people will dispute the bible because no one living now was "there", despite there being historical evidence, but they won't dispute a theory of an old earth even though they themselves "weren't there". As far as I see it, the bible was never meant to prove anything. It's simply a historical narrative of the relationship between God and man. All through it we see behavioural patterns and the consequences of sin (following our human will instead of Gods will).

But none-the-less, people reject it in favour of observational science and try to get Chris to prove that their God is real based on a criteria that could never prove God exists through a method such as theirs. Even without the concept of God to begin with, they couldn't figure out the origin of the universe anyway, so why not accept that they just don't know? Christians don't have to "prove" anything to atheists as they understand supernatural things and are not limited to thinking only of the physical realm of existence as absolute.
