When scientists started preaching overpopulation, countries responded with birth control programs and infanticide options on their unborn.

The result of this void in demographics allowed Muslims, who have seven and eight children per family, to move into countries like Spain, where having two children is considered having a lot; and tipping the scales in their favor.

Today, Internet scientists scratch themselves to death wondering why Muslims are growing so fast, while Christianity seems to be waning.

It's interesting that in Dicken's, A Christmas Carol, Scrooge, in a discussion about people dying of hunger, says: "... then let them do it, and decrease the surplus population."

This shows me that scientists were harping about overpopulation back in the 19th century.

So where did you hear it? I have no idea why 2000 years from the start of the church would matter. Does that make me Polyannaish?

In a way it makes you a non dispensationist. If the 1000 year reign of Christ is 1000 years, then why not a church age that is 2000 years. Anyways, I am sure as the day gets closer people will get all sorts of crazy about it, like they did over the year 2000.

Well, I suppose we could apply that to almost any year! It may or may not be the time!

No one really knows for sure when Jesus was born. We can narrow it down a little bit. They seem to agree that the current date of His birth in the years 0 does not seem to be accurate.

Ah, one of the great mysteries of life! Searches on "belly button" and related phrases revealed that no one knows for sure why some people have a concave belly button while others have one that sticks out. Health and parenting web sites agree that most people have "innies" and only about 10% of the population has "outies." But neither button style has any effect on health........<snip>

Strange. So, when God said to "replenish the earth," he meant we should ignore the realities of food production, water distribution, disease, waste processing, pollution, overfarming, and overfishing?

Humans are so self-centered. How come no one ever asks if the first generation of anteaters, or orangutans, or blue whales had belly buttons? The proper question (assuming it's a rational question in the first place) is if any newly created placental mammal had a navel. And the same question can be asked about monotremes, birds, reptiles, and anything else that's attached to a yolk sac in the fetal state and would normally have an umbilical remnant. Right?

There was an old joke that scientists have found the mummified remains of Adam and Eve. How did they recognize them? No belly buttons lol. But yea, you needed to have spent time in a womb and be connected to a mother to have a belly button. They were not.
