Yes, Catholicism is big on tradition. I was born into a Cathloic family, went to Catholic grade/jr. high schools, altar boy for four years, etc. I originally learned to serve the mass in Latin...that should pretty well date me.
I think humans are pretty much mired in tradition everywhere, Happy. Protestants too. Protestants have some freedoms Catholics don't, but Protestants today are largely taught to think inside a theological "box", just like their Catholic brethren.
