  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

"Fellowship with Him."
1 John 1:6

We fellowship each and every day with Christ through prayer, through suffering, through joy and through our service to him. We stand in the rain, only to turn around and shine as a reflection of Jesus as we light the world with him and his love. It is becoming my only desire...to shine for him. I want to touch hearts, minds and lives. Without fellowship with him...I can not accomplish this. None of us can. All the doctrines and theologies in the world aren't worth anything without the love of Christ inside of us. If you notice, in the bible...Jesus was just kinda hanging out and being who he was. He reminds me of a hippy. I want to be a flower child for Jesus. ~Giggle~ Anyway...now that I'm momentarily side tracked...without daily fellowship with God...we can not be effective in our work for the Lord. It would be like being a nurse and not having the bandaids and the pills to do your job. Or a judge without his gavel. Or a cook without her spatula and apron. My bible and my daily time with the Lord are the tools I need each day in order to do my job for Christ. ~Hugs~

Yes she still is. I wish she'd go to the ER. It's making me nervous. She's been fevering far too long I think.

What I was doing was struggling through a cigarette craving by shoving another stupid sucker in my mouth. I just hope this is worth it cuz it's miserable and I really want a cigarette. ~Growls~

Good Things Verses Godly Things

Because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
Romans 8:14

The best way to see that we are maturing in our walk with Christ is when we can discern the difference between good things and God things. The people of Israel journeyed out of Egypt by following a cloud that led them by day. They could only move as fast as the cloud moved. If they went ahead of the cloud they went out of God's presence. If they lagged behind the also lost God's presence. We must have discernment to know when God is leading us in a matter or if it is simply just a good idea. There are a lot of things we can get involved in. The more successful we become the greater the temptations are to enter into things where God has not called us. I think a while back I did this very thing by entering into a college program to do something that God did not want me to do. It seemed like the right thing to do at the time, though. However, things went wrong and I ended up losing money and never got to complete the course. The problem was this: I wanted to get out of the situation I was in at my present job. I wanted to do something else that wouldn't allow me to be as fruitful as a christian. Since I wasn't going to take the route where God was present and would remain present, it failed. According to my study this morning this is because it was an idea that was simply a good idea but, it wasn't birthed by the Holy Spirit. I realized when it was over why it happened. God showed me several things at my present job that was quite the eye opener. God can and will communicate with us when we are stepping out of his will. We just have to learn to be able to listen and to see. As sons and daughters of God, we are called to be led by the Holy Spirit. This requires that we be dependent on God which many of us really do not want to do. It requires listening, waiting, and moving only when God's spirit tells us to move. Workplace people especially are action people. We know how to get things done but, sometimes our greatest strengths can be our greatest weaknesses. Today ask God to make you a Romans 8:14 man or woman who is led by the Spirit of God. Pray that you won't lag behind or get too far ahead of him. Ask God to reveal whether or not something is just a good thing or a God thing. My coming to CF and staying at CF was a God thing.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;

In all ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
