OTOH, I have no idea if you're a leader or a follower, but I can surmise from your penchant to support boycotts and other such groupthink protests that you're likely the one following along with the protest rather than the one initiating it.

You keep trying to picture this as either meaningless, people trying to 'be cool' or now as unthinking sheep. I think you've reached the point where further discussion will probably be a waste of both our time.

I think that point was reached before the conversation ever started. There are people who think boycotts make sense and people who believe they are a futile waste of time. Clearly, we are in separate groups.

Shoulda checked the label (or found an app that can tell you where the chocolate was made)! There's still plenty of Hershey's chocolate made right here in good ole' Pennsylvania. In fact, their website says their West Hershey plant produces more than 70 million Hershey's Kisses every day.

Don't want to stray too far off-topic, but PA just instituted yet another new fee for EV and plug-in hybrid owners called the "Road User Charge". As of May 1, 2025, if you have an EV or plug-in hybrid, they collect this additional fee from you when you renew your registration, since they're not getting the taxes from you filling up any more. This year, that fee is $200 for EV owners, increasing to $250 in 2026 and then it will be tied to the Consumer Price Index in all following years.

They'll get your money one way or another.

Notwithstanding your inability to understand the concept of boycotts, you seem a normal person. Unless you are a leader in literally everything that you do, then you are a follower. You follow laws, instructions, orders from your superiors and guidance from those you consider more intelligent or able or more informed than you. If we're smart enough it's what we all do. You are no different. Although it seems that you'd like to think so.

I strongly suggest that you reconsider your position and embrace a degree of humility. It'll do you good.

You have an odd definition of leadership, and you're making some absurd leaps of logic to try to make your tortured point.

"You obey laws so that shows you're not a leader" has to be one of the most bizarre takes on leadership I've ever heard.

Of course, none of this has anything at all to do with the type of person that jumps on the bandwagon and boycotts whatever they're being told to boycott at the moment. But you already knew that before you went on this tangent about "leadership".
