no but if it costs 10,000s to incarcerate someone and then you have to deport them is it not a LOT cheaper to just deport them?Big deal. The point is they have escaped just punishment that US citizens and legal residents have to endure. If I go to another state and am arrested for commiting a crime there, the authorities are not going to say, "Oh, he is not a resident of this state, let's just send him back to where he came from."
