Demonic Possession

Yeah it is definately scary especially if you are not prayed up. I have been in alot of Pentecostal services where I have seen things like this and even stranger. I have an uncle that is a Pentecostal minister and other people in my family in the ministry as well. The scariest thing I saw was when my mom and dad when I was younger were praying over this lady who was acting strange and all of a sudden a hand appeared and began to choke her to death but we just kept pleading the blood and rebuking it and finally it disapeared and she got delivered she had problems because of years being in the occult and different things of that nature. I could tell about things almost for hours of the things that I have witnessed. It just shows how powerfull that our God really is.

Yea? I would like to hear more about it. Please do give me the utter most detail from what you remember. Like from every word that was spoken to every action that was taken.

I am just very curious because that part of ministry that I know I have to know more about to know my enemy.

There is a group called Vision Life Ministries that specializes in "deliverance" i.e. exocisms. The man who runs it is aformer pastor of mine and has been casting out demons for years. To answer a few questions all in one blog, No a Christian can not be possessed (controlled) but he can be oppressed (tormented). There are five doors inwhich a demon can have legal ground: 1) Willfull sin, 2) Inner vows and judgements, 3) curses (through family tree or through hexes and witchcraft) 4) emotional trauma/hurts and 5) unforgiveness. While, Multiple Personality Disorder and true Schitzophrenia are not signs of possession, they do carry their own difficulties in deliverance. They are shattered souls. One must be very speciallized in dealing with these individuals. They have already been through severe trauma from abuse. However, since the scientific society does not recognize possession, many do however get labelled with these labels. As far as secular scientific studies go, I do not know of any. christian sciences might give you more info. You might look under Theofaustics (sp?). You might find info there. I hope this helped. oh... btw... it is recommended that Christians go through deliverance about every 1-3 yrs. It really helps free you up from attacks of the enemy. If we knew what was around us 24/7, we'd freak! lol!

I have been in this only about five months but GOd has blessed it abundantly and brings me people from all over and the weirdest places. I have been preparing my whole life though with my family background and occult upbringing.

The blind girl sounds oppressed or possessed. You do not have to lie hands on her to pray for her and warfare you can intercede from your house at midnight on your knees.

My scariest moments" In april when I began this I was warfaring against my evil possessed house I lived in with my grandma and God told me to cast a spirit of pain and asthma and madness out of my husband. Well he began to contort his face like a werewolf snake man or something it was hideous and horrific and looked at me with murder in his eyes. I almost wet my pants and raced out of there and called my dad at three am. He laughed and made me promise not to do that til he was there with my brother to protect me.

My other scary experience is when the Holy spirit told me to rebuke a pain in my sisters arm and cast the spirit causing it out. her eyes turned reddish and EVIL looking. My wrists were crossed in front of my stomach and she manifested as a demon, grabbed them and lifted me three inches off the floor by my wrists. And growled in my face. I would not have been scared except she is four eleven and ninety lbs and I am five eight and alot more than ninety lbs. lol.

On the plus side my grandma dumped her evil books, evil research, evil beliefs and found Jesus. We praised all night once when she was gone and the house demons are replaced with sweet ministering spirit of God.!!!

Hippies make me think of Charles MAnson and his gang...now that seems to me to be a perfect example of demons at work!

Now, this just irks me to no end.... #1, because it's incongruous, as the only thing Hippies and Manson have in common is hairstyle and aproximate time period, and #2 because it is ridiculously superficial. I mean ridiculously.

Here is the danger. I am involve with children ministry. And there is this young little 5-year-old girl. She is say to have a genetic blindness. Her mother is blind and so is her other sister. Adding to this, she has a hard time praising the name of Jesus. She can say the name of Jesus. But to give any sort of glory to Jesus, she can not do it. I have not heard her praise God at all. And her parents do not believe in Jesus. Her family does not go to church. Also, there are times when she does act a bit wildly. That can be contributed to the fact that a blind girl does not know what is going on around her and may just want to cause attention. Or it can also be that she is understand the influence of demonic powers. I believe what made me cautiously consider that this maybe demonic oppession is that, she said Jesus is ugly.

I'd be REALLY careful. extremely careful.

aside from the fact that I, personally, consider the assumption that a kid is demonized because she's blind and doesn't "act right" deeply offensive, it bears mentioning that much of the "wisdom" and hows and whys and wherewithals of demons being espoused by a lot of these deliverance ministers (ie: demons being "passed down", picking up demons from surroundings etc.) has no scriptural backing that I've seen. And until it's proven by scripture I can only assume it's human wisdom or human folly, take your pick.

That said, I'm glad you're waiting before you try to exorcise her. In that time, I'd advise you get to know her situation a bit better. This is a kid who, quite possibly, feels like an outsider or "weirdo" amongst "normal", seeing kids, who could have a somewhat unstable homelife, and probably doesn't need anything more than she needs the unconditional, sacrificial love and acceptance of Jesus demonstrated to her.

And, personally, the last thing I'd want to do to a kid who from what I gather isn't real sure about this Jesus thing yet is send her home to her father (who you mentioned doesn't care for Jesus himself) saying that the people at church tried to cast the Devil out of her.

I realize I am pretty new to this spiritual warfare...but have successfully battled it (through JESUS) with my son....but I have gone totally by what scripture says to do.

I have never read any scriptures saying to wait until midnight to do something like this. I also do not read scriptures saying a big production has to be made in church to cast out demons or stop their oppession of people.

I am seeing alot of claims on spritual warfare but no one using scriptures to back up what they are doing and this bothers me alot. I also don't see people saying how this is done in the Name of Jesus (a few post mention the Holy Spirit)

When I reburked the evil spirits bothering my son he wasn't even aware I was doing anything. I reburked them in Jesus' Name in a whisper...it has to be spoken out loud since they cannot read our minds unlike the Lord. I did not do this by any power I have...in fact when I first started doing it I felt pretty silly actually...and had no confidence in it but I was very desperate to help my son. Within minutes my son would go back to 'normal'....you can read more about it on my post on this forum. I did have to fast and pray to get rid of the spirit of anxiety...but I never took him to any church or meeting to have anything cast out of him.

He has been tramized enough and I would never subject him to something like this where he would probably be more tramized. I did it all quietly and only after prayer with the Lord that this was the way to go.

I reburke the same way Jesus reburked them...though He didn't have to say in His Name...lol.

On the blind girl I am sure she is hearing this Jesus is ugly junk from her dad...she probably asked him what Jesus looked like and that is what dad said. A person born blind would have no real clue what 'ugly' meant anyway...especially one this young. I have heard children in church say really awful offensive things about Jesus. Yet their parents shipped them to church on the bus but never attended themselves.

Anyway what I wanted to say is whether this girl is being influenced by evil spirits or not....I would not reburke any thing in her with her not being saved. The bible warns us that when the 'house' is empty, it needs to be filled with something otherwise the spirit with leave but come back with seven more spirits more powerful. I would think ALOT of praying would need to be done on this before I did anything actually...ALOT. Because without her being a believer (she is awfully young to understand really who God and Jesus are) you could end up leaving her an empty vessel.

My son had accepted Jesus into his life, plus when I reburk anything I 'fill up' that empty place with scriptures...Christian music and prayer that the Holy Spirit fill that place in him so nothing can come back in...even worse!

I have seen a true mircle in my son and he was almost dx as bipolar or scinophenic because he was hearing voices and seeing things....had been on meds to help control this and his very voilent rages in which he would attack me, other people and even himself. I would have NEVER believed this stuff if I didn't witnesses it first hand in my son. God has truly blessed us by this mircle. My son was so bad and getting worse that I really thought he was going to have to live in some mental health place...a truly awful thing for a parent to even have to considered with their child.

But it was getting to the point he was getting bigger and stronger and I could not continue keeping me safe and him safe and my hope was running out. So when a friend on the net taught me about spiritual warfare it really was my last hope! And like I said...I had tried everything esle...nothing was working and I was very desperate.

Anyway I hope I didn't upset or offend anyone about what I said...I like to see scriptures backing up some of what has been posted. I can post scriptures for what I was refering too if anyone wants it, (but I image most of you know what scriptures I am refering too) thanks.

whitestar that is a wonderful testimony you just gave and I agree with your thoughts on rebuking these evil spirits completly. You did the right thing
I've also have been having some problems with my teenage son and you have given me the idea to pray over him in the way you did for your son. I believe that this can be a powerful way to fight the demons that are warring for my son's soul.

About the blind girl, I am taking it very slowly and have a relationship with her. I want to be a friend to her. I will look closer into this before taking any actions. Maybe it is just genetic inheritance from her parent, and maybe it is demonic in origin. For now, I am inspired by the Holy Spirit to show her alot of love.

Thanks guys...if you would like the whole LONG very detailed story of my testimony on this I can do a new post on it or add it to the new post I just saw on Spiritual Warfare.

Since I had to do this without the help of any church (and believe me I did go to my church asking for a laying on hands/annoiting of my son...they did nothing but say one prayer..)

I have had to rely only on scriptures...with my friend guiding me but always pointing me back to scriptures and prayer to God through this.

I DID pray for my son for years! I did put blessed oil over the doorways, windows and on him when he was sleeping...NOTHING worked. None of this worked. I got a book on Spiritual warfare for children with all these fancy prayers about binding satan away from the person and working through issues and so on....NONE of that worked. nothing.


When he would start getting nasty I would look and see what 'mood' (or spirit) I was seeing...such as anger, opposition, resentment and so on and reburke those.

I would simple say...Begone evil spirits of anger, opposition, resentment in the Name of Jesus and by the Blood of Jesus and literally within minutes I could see a visiable change in him and he was no longer being nasty... Just back to his self.

Now there are times when I goof...I can't tell if its JUST him or something esle and I will reburk whatever 'mood' he is showing then discover he was just being a KID! ha! I felt like the Lord was telling me this too the few times that happened...get a whisper in my mind...(he is just being a kid! lol).

I tell you though when these spirits (sorry I still have a hard times calling them demons ) are bothering him, his eyes are dark ...his whole facial expression is one of hate and anger. It difficult to explain...it IS sullen...not anything dramic like you see on TV. But his behavior IS VERY dramic when he was still being affected by these things...

He really shook up people having to deal with his rages when they weren't used it too...for sure. I have seen adults (teachers at his school and others) visuably shaken and have seen people in tears too over his behavior. And its torn up inside to see the look on their faces, the shock and sometimes rejection and anger at him. Plus they usually got physical hurt by his attacks too.

I am SOOO grateful to the Lord for a release from that nightmare.

Christians can not be demon possesed, they can only be demon opressed because we have the holy spirit living in us. Light drives out darkness.....it's as simple as that, evil can not dwell in the same place as the holy spirit.

Demons are real, adn we need to protect ourselves from them.....this is a battle (key word 'battle', not war) and they are trying as hard as they can to tempt and hurt us.

So sorry I didn't understand why pray at midnight is all if you could pray at other times. I really don't know anything about 'binding evil spirits' though that was included in the book I read about Spiritual warfare for children..though those prayers did not help my son at all. I didn't read any scriptures about binding...but then I realize the word 'rebuking' is also not in scriptures...its 'casting out'....so the description of binding could be there but I don't know enough about it to see it in scriptures yet.

I would have no idea how to bind or reburke (is that will and E or without and E?) an evil spirit in someone esle. I have spiritual authority over my son and our home (the husband/father would if there was one) so this worked on my son.

I was told you have to have spiritual authorty to do this...but then how would that apply to Jesus' discinples casting out demons in people? Unless they had spiritual authorty of the 'church' even though there wasn't an actual formal church at the time....(me just thinking out loud...trying to better understand).

Your spiritual authority comes with believing in God. Demons are subject to you, you can bind them, rebuke them, torment them.. lol

I might add that from my research, probably the closest thing that comes to a scientific "diagnosis" of demon possession would be multiple-personality disorder.

Would you please explain what you mean by this? I have considerable experience in dealing with "multiple personality disorder", and it is not the same thing as demon "possession" at all.

When you are possesed by demons, you have no controll over your will. Thats why i say it is impossible for a christian to be possesed. Because the spirit of God lives in us.
