in the bible whenever you find IDOLS you usually find the word spirit next to it. It says in the bible that we ar not to touch these idols made for worshipping demons. In the occult they use this a lot.......go read this book: unbroken curses, by Rebecca Brown. U'll learn a lot about this sort of stuff.

But... it doesn't say the calf was cursed, or had a demon in it. Check Exodus 32; there's no mention of any spiritual presence in the calf itself.Lottedah said:

Actually... you don't. I just did a search for the word "idol" in an online concordance, and you find the words "useless" or "worthless" a lot, but looking at every occurence of the word "Idol" in the bible I didn't find one that associated idols with spirits.ablikespaintball said:

I don't know. Honestly, scripture seems to bear out that Idols are nothing but the work of people's hands. So while I think that demons may sometimes masquerade as gods, I think the "other gods" of the world are largely nonexistent.ablikespaintball said:

There are no such things as idols just how Paul said it. But I do believe that there are unclean spirits that people worship as gods.

I feel compelled to mention that I did some research on this book, and.... well, I don't want to derail the thread too much, but I find her a less than credible source of info on spiritual warfare. I have not label it demonic yet. I said that it sounds demonic.
I have been studying demons and deliverance for a bit. When people allow themselves to follow in their fascination with horror, they tend to have this darkness in their lives. I understand that we all do have fascination with horror. But to be involve in it seems like the fascination went from fantasy to wanting it to be reality. And that can lead to demonic oppression.
Just like examples from people who plays with ouja board. They play it to have fun and believing it to be like a board game, but they do have a fascination with trying to contact the spirits. Even if they are skeptical about the existence of demons, they do get a supernatural encounterance with spirits. And that leads to a demonic oppression.

one thing you have to keep in mind elias is that anointed people are lied about and more to be kept down or bunched with a few other loonies!
The only way I could judge rebecca brown and really know whether or not she was for real is to meet her myself and do a little discernment. If she were mentally ill and addicted I would be able to tell right off.
I must tell you one thing I know for sure in her books is real. The guardian demon thats black and covered in scales because I have seen one for myself and that was before I ever heard of rebecca brown.
It was conjured up many yrs ago to protect somethings hidden in my grandmas yard and basement. My brother and husband saw it too.
My grandma didnt conjure him up someone else did who lived here before her
So I know from personal experience she cant be a total loony to have seen that with her own eyes.

Like I said, I wasn't going to bring this up in the interest of not derailing the thread, but while I can buy that anointed people get lied about..... this one unfortunately lost her medical license for knowingly misdiagnosing patients and falsifying prescriptions(specifically painkillers), falsly medicating patients (many of whom had to be detoxed)and failing to keep adequate records. She was also found to be addicted to Demerol.Lottedah said:
