Ditto to the last sentence. The Keystone XL was projected to carry 830,000 barrels of oil per day, just about the same as we imported from Russia. The oil would have gone to refineries, certainly some was expected to go to Europe and other countries but most could have ended up in the U.S. due to shortages. What it would have done is bring more oil into the world supply and cut down the price of oil. And that's just one project Biden attacked!

No, most all of it would have gone to other countries. It was by a Canadian company and they made their own deals. The plan was to refine that tar sand oil to diesel and then ship it to Europe or Latin America.

It would have passed through the Sand Hills area of Nebraska where, if it had leaked, it would have contaminated the drinking water of much of Nebraska and for other states. There aren't a lot of rivers in Nebraska or Kansas. Most of their water is from the Ogallada Aquifier.

The poor are being hit the hardest by the runaway inflation created by the Democrats. Joe could drop the regulations he has imposed on oil and gas and it would make a quick huge difference. He's won't do it.
Which specific regulations has the president imposed that you think would make a positive difference were they dropped?

The distribution from the refineries pattern would almost certainly have changed due to the overall shortages. Halting the project not only cost U.S. jobs, but meant less oil for the current supply.

Joe's war on fossil fuels is not a secret.
You claimed that he imposed specific regulations that contributed to the current problem. Okay, what were they?

The tar sands is truly nasty stuff - to mine, to transport and to refine. It isn't the type of oil that the US uses - we use light sweet oil and that is heavy sour.

Talk about drivel. Biden revoked the permission for the Keystone XL pipeline which was to transfer tar sand oil, the dirtiest oil, down to ports to send most all of it to other countries. It was going to be traveling over the Ogallada Aquifier which provides water in the plains from South Dakota to Texas. A leak would have been devastating.

We didn't get oil into our gas pumps from the XL pipeline nor were we going to.

I really wish people would do actual research and not spew stuff from a partisan site.
I am soooooooooooo glad he shut that down. And the mining of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. I was very upset by those plans to destroy an entire ecosystem.

No, it was Canadian oil, dirty as it is. The US can't say, "Hey, we want all the oil" and expect a big change.

They can only store so much at the site, pipelines are the cheapest and fastest. It's a bottleneck in the system, an an analogy in the U.S. a lot of goods were not available to the consumer because of transportation problems, barges not being unloaded, truckers not available. Joe has been urged to restart the Keystone XL, just that one pipeline would make a significant difference but he won't budge.

No, it didn't. The pipeline would not have been finished this year, even if the permits had not been revoked -- so there would be no added oil for the current supply nor does it have any affect on gas prices.

Show that there are workers that would be able to take those jobs. In Alberta, companies are STRUGGLING to get workers....so first prove that and we'll go from there.

The workers had the jobs, Joe canceled the project and said the pipeline workers could be re-trained as computer programmers. It's not the same skill set.

Certainly because of the Russian oil situation a national leader could have accelerated the pipeline timeline.Russia was importing about 2.2 millions barrels of oil a day to the entire E.U. The keystone XL was supposed to move about 800,000 million barrels a day, roughly a third of the oil that Russia was providing to the E.U. The war should have been over by now had Joe taken aggressive steps to replace the Russian oil. No president should be allowed to so damage any industry he or she doesn't politically favor. And these Supreme Court justices need to be protected now, this attempt to intimidate the Supreme court is a real attack against our nation.

"Democrats are upset that many Republican voters don’t consider the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot to have been an assault on democracy, and maybe one reason is that too many Democrats appear to have a double standard about which democratic institutions they want to protect."

Yes, absolutely. Just like Project War Speed, private companies can pull together in a time of crisis. Joe Biden has caused numerous fossil fuel projects to be ended, why couldn't he do the opposite in a time of world need?

Maybe because the robber barons of petroleum need to be dethroned
