Don't be fooled. All these things the democrats pretend to be upset about has already been done by a democratic president and the left with zero backlash for it.

A baker can’t deny a gay couple a wedding cake, but it’s certainly OK for a Rockette to demand not to perform for the president-elect.

Mr. Trump suggests it’s a possibility.

Admitting to not wanting to accept the election results before it’s certified is an assault against democracy when Mr. Trump suggests it, but OK when Jill Stein launches an unfounded assault against the voting results in three states after all votes have been cast and validated.

Meddling with the Electoral College? No, that doesn’t undermine our Republic. Just ask progressive organizations like MoveOn.org and celebrity sycophants who tried to bully Electoral College members into changing their vote.

There were reports from the floor of the House of Representatives last week that Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi encouraged her members to rant and rave, protesting the certification of the our free and fair election, for the simple reason that Mr. Trump was the winner.

Yet all of that is perfectly reasonable.

So was the nuclear option — when Democrats held the majority. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer says he “regrets” the decision.

There are things which should be done in secret.

I think, by the way, that I read that the President has the legal power to decide what secret information he shares and what he doesn't. It is possible, at times, that it could be to good advantage to share classified information with even problem leaders of other countries . . . depending.

So, I can see that there could be cases in which Donald or another authorized person might do well to give the Russians certain information which would not be put out in public.

Distinctions with no differences. The President is the entirety of Executive branch and can assign tasks to anyone he pleases to assign them to. Executive branch bureaucrats are the President's agents not his superiors nor are they the ones that the Constitution puts in charge of the Executive Branch, , the President is. The only people that the President is accountable to are the voters , the Congress and the Supreme Court. He does not need to report to the people that work for him.

Firstly, based on some of the posts in this thread, I think it's sad there's people on this board that don't understand the meaning of "secret". Here's a clue: if there's televised footage of the event, said event is the polar opposite of secret.

Secondly, Obama's "secret outreach to Russia" was not a secret from his own intelligence services, just John Q Public.

Thirdly, it wasn't organised by a family member who has economic ties to Russia.

The reason why Democrats don't care that Obama had an outreach to Russia is because Obama is a Democrat. The reason why they are now absolutely against it is because we now have a Republican in office. If Hillary Clinton would have won they would have no problem with it.

The OP conveniently overlooked the following concerns when attempting to equate the Obama back channel with the Trump attempt!

1. Obama didn't seek to establish a "back channel" at a time that all 17 American intelligence agencies agreed that the Russians had attempted to influence the 2016 Election!

2. One of these meetings took place the day after the Obama Administration imposed sanctions on Russia - you can't have more than one Administration attempting to make foreign policy at any given time (Logan Act). Obama certainly didn't attempt to establish a back channel with the Russians before he took office!

3. General Flynn lied to VP Pence about the nature of these Russian contacts placing himself in a situation that the Acting Attorney General warned the White House lawyer that he was vulnerable to blackmail.

4. Neither Kushner nor Flynn reported these Russian contacts on their security clearance applications which they are also expected to keep updated!

5. Both Donald Trump and Jared Kushner have failed to release their income tax returns - leaving their financial entanglements with Russia open to question.

6. The Obama Administration was not operating under a cloud of suspicion that it had colluded with the Russians to influence the election. Given these suspicions, the Trump Administration was both naïve and reckless to think that it could by-pass American intelligence agencies without detection!

These presidents didn't sent their inexperienced son-in-laws to establish secret contacts with the Cubans before they took office - which is a violation of the Logan Act!

Only an amateur would fail to realize that American intelligence agencies were monitoring all the Russian ambassador's phone calls and be aware of his secret contacts with Kushner and Flynn!

Communications channels through lower level operatives are standard procedure as even you know.

This is another non story spread by Trump bashers hoping to thwart his agenda, but it won't work either.
