Inflation might have been at the level at the end of Biden's term rather than the jump in prices we've seen due to Trump's disaster of a first month, I'd say.

I'd guess they'd be about the same as now. But Harris would be blamed incessantly, rather than be excused because she was only in office for a few weeks, by the very same folks offering those very excuses for Trump.

I know. I'm just making the point. Sure, there has always been a lot of partisan blame and praise going on for both sides; but, it just seems to me that the MAGA crowd have ramped it up to eleven, at least. First, we hear the Biden administration criticized for "unelected bureaucrats" making key decisions, then Trump is praised when he has Elon Musk doing the exact same thing. President Biden is blamed for inflation (which came down from record highs due to covid), but Trump is praised for...well, not raising it too much in his first few weeks, and his proposed tariffs, which will likely raise prices even more, are praised to the hilt. Egg prices soared due to factors that have nothing to do with anything done by the White House, and yet Biden was criticized for it, and Trump was allowed excuses.
I know, after 14 days Trump caused inflation. That had to be a record of some sort. Congratulations Mr. President.
