I think the post you quoted pretty much sums up my feelings on the topic of the thread. And how do you feel about the topic of the thread?
Like carpet bombing Germany?“Fight back”≠annihilate all members of the attackers
14.An addendum - We know that Schumer will never face backlash for his rhetoric and thank goodness there are enough Republicans there to quell his strong arming Israel. This thought ran through my mind this morning.
There is a large Democratic voter base that is Jewish. Schumer's actions are being viewed in a number of places as pro Palestinian (same as pro Hamas) - how many Jewish voters will no longer support the Democrats, since the Democrats are no longer supporting Israel?
Of course terrorists aren't attacking Israel really anymore. Now Israel is laying absolute waste to Gaza.If Schumer’s country was being attacked by terrorist he’d want to fight back, not negotiate.
Is Israel so weak that scolding amounts to “strong arming”? Widdew Bibi can’t handew a widdew fingew wag?An addendum - We know that Schumer will never face backlash for his rhetoric and thank goodness there are enough Republicans there to quell his strong arming Israel. Because Israel and any informed person knows the attack on Israel goes far beyond just the terrorist group Hamas. Hamas attacked from Palestinian occupied territory. They hide there. Hamas has no concern whether or not any Palestinian gets killed. Israel lives with the constant treat of her evil neighbors funded mostly by the likes of Iran.Of course terrorists aren't attacking Israel really anymore. Now Israel is laying absolute waste to Gaza.
I'm sure it makes you feel great that Israel is "getting back at the terrorists", but a lot of people would argue that they are well and completely past a point of retribution and vindictiveness. There is ample evidence that, yet again, Israel is performing another land grab; plenty of examples of Israeli's trying to sell property in the "Holy Land"; of Palestinians getting forced out of their homes.
If Mexicans came into your own and kicked you out of your home, removing all your belongings and dumping them in front of your house, I feel confident you'd have a problem with that. If Mexicans desecrated the graveyard where your grandparents were buried, you'd have a problem with that.
If Mexicans used your uncle as a human shield, you'd have a problem with that.

But strangely, there's ZERO problem when Israel does it.
Does you um's beweive dat withholding funding and calling for the Head of the country to be weplced a widdew fingew wag?Is Israel so weak that scolding amounts to “strong arming”? Widdew Bibi can’t handew a widdew fingew wag?
For sure it does. For sure. There's the paranoia. There's the jingoism. There's the mistreatment. There's stealing their land.Because Israel and any informed person knows the attack on Israel goes far beyond just the terrorist group Hamas.
Yeah. Real threat they live with.Hamas attacked from Palestinian occupied territory. They hide there. Hamas has no concern whether or not any Palestinian gets killed. Israel lives with the constant treat of her evil neighbors funded mostly by the likes of Iran.
You are aware that the Palestinian people can do nothing themselves to fight against and eliminate the evil Hamas terrorist group that lives among them? For sure it does. For sure. There's the paranoia. There's the jingoism. There's the mistreatment. There's stealing their land.
Yeah. Real threat they live with.
How many Israelis have lost their homes?
How many Israeli children are currently starvin?
Get outta here with that nonsense. The current state does not have Israel suffering. IT has Israel laying waste to a people.
Where did Schumer threaten to withhold funding? Where did he make the funding contingent on Netanyahu's being removed? That wasn't claimed anywhere in your article, which said that funding was held up in the House (i.e. not the Senate).Does you um's beweive dat withholding funding and calling for the Head of the country to be weplced a widdew fingew wag?
It's strange to me that you have such a hate on for Hamas when it is Israel that is withholding support and doing pretty awful things.I wonder how much of the humanitarian aid being sent to the Palestinian people will be stolen by the gutless, heartless Hamas terrorist group to feed themselves. If Hamas cared anything for the starving people of Palestine they wouldn't hide among them shooting rockets at Israel Like pansy-ass cowards.
Good for Him. In the meantime it has nothing to do with our policy toward the secular state of Israel.Does not Israel have a right to the land God has given them? When they were permitted by God to return to their own land (after the holocaust) they have been hated and threatened by those who basically want to annihilated them or else worship the god of Islam. Israel simply wants the land God has given them. If you understand the Scripture, you’ll see that eventually Israel will have her land. It just a matter of when. It’s a promise from the God who keeps His promises.
You claim he is the Israeli people's choice. Not.Oh, please can we just once stay on the topic of the thread. Please.
Yes, no doubt that is something you feel strongly about. However, the question before us is rather different. We pay Isreal 3.8 billion dollars a year to support our policy in the Middle East. If their policy diverges from ours, are we still obliged to pay them? These threads are emotionally difficult for me to argue in, I have a history here that's personal.
The last thread I sat in and argued through ended up fully deleted and my every post gone forever, and that makes me feel like even trying is a waste of time.
However I have to say, as a former Muslim with ties to the region in question, and someone who is not a Zionist even though I am now Christian, Israel has no choice but to respond, and they have no choice but to continue until Hamas is adequately decimated.
That's what best. Period.
People will die. Palestinian people who are innocent will die.
Hamas makes human shields of women, children, and the elderly in order to parade dead bodies in front of the media. It's propaganda.
Every single dead body really is on the head of Hamas.
And Hamas won't stop until they are dead. They've already said such more times than I can count.
It's their job. It's what they exist for.
Time to stop it or it will never end. Let Israel do what they have to do to stop Hamas.
Then we will talk peace. Not before because there's no peace with Hamas.
WASHINGTON—In a sign of growing U.S. pressure on Israel over the war in Gaza, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “has lost his way” and called for Israeli elections aimed at choosing a new government.Netanyahu is “allowing his political survival to take precedence over the best interests of Israel,” Schumer said in a speech on the Senate floor Thursday. He said Israel “cannot hope to succeed as a pariah opposed by the rest of the world.”Netanyahu - is the duly elected Prime Minister of Israel, and American Alli - American Congressmembers have no business calling for the over throw of a government regardless of method. He has no right or authority to call for an election, regardless of the reason. This is interference in another countries government.
What audacity to believe he knows what 'is best interest" for another nation. Using your position and funding to pressure another nation to do what you want is worse than quid pro quo and he should be censured and made to apologize to Israel.
Yes, I remember reading that too. In the meantime it has nothing to do with our policy toward the secular state of Israel.
