God commanded Israel to take the land He was giving them. That meant to defeat any people who resided in that land. They began doing just that. However, after they rejected God as their king they made men their kings. Big mistake! Afterward they had many corrupt kings who led the people astray until God decided to bring other nations, the Assyrian for one, against them and carry them away captive.I’m not a geography maven but I’m pretty sure that even back in David and Solomon’s day there was a strip of land called Philistia where the Philistines dwelt.
I don’t think Israel will gain all their promised land in the near future, but I do know that’s what they want. I believe they will be given their promised land, but not until Christ comes to inherit it himself, along with those to whom it was promised.
